This was it!

The day both Kichona and Iruma have been anticipating and dreading: the start of term.

Both he and Kichona were in a carriage (Kichona was flabbergasted as to why they had already invented plastic but not CARS! Really?) with Kichona dressed in Babyls's school girl uniform which was vastly different from the clothes that Iruma gave her.

One thing was that the skirt was far too short, stopping a few centimeters above her knee-caps. And it was pink! Not to say it wasn't nice but the shade of pink was questionable. Kichona did wear pink back home but only lighter shades so it didn't contradict her purple hair. She also wore her hair in a half-up half-down style that would prevent it from getting in her eyes.

That morning Iruma suprised her by dosing her completely with a cauldron of perfume of which magically dried up within a few seconds. She was furious of course but his reassuring face told her not to question it.

Now the carriage was speeding up a spiralling misty road to which terified Kichona. Iruma who sat across from her just seemed impasive towards it all.

"Who's driving this thing?", she demanded clutching onto her book bag.

"Mr. Opera", Iruma replied dryly.

Kichona felt increasingly uneasy at the speed they were going in. Especially since the blinds were only drawn half way and she could see the rocky terrain outside. It only made her feal even more queasy.

"Do we have to go this fast?", Kichona rambled her throat felt as it were being squeezed.

"If you are feeling unsettled, you could always latch yourself to me", Iruma gave her a sly smile.

Kichona wanted so badly to decline, but the girl was scared out of her wits. She had never ridden by car before but she doubted car drivers would be daft enough to drive this fast up a hill. In movies carriage rides were either relaxing or thrilling; this was anything but.

Kichona swallowed the remark she had at the tip of her tounge and stumbled to seat next to Iruma. She intertwined her arm in his for support and clutched onto him for dear life.

Iruma only hummed in the back of his throat, seemingly enjoying this. "Don't fret. We're almost there. I wouldn't mind doing this everyday though", Iruma laced his fingers with Kichona's and gave her palm a little squeeze to calm her down.

Kichona didn't say anything but just let him comfort her.

Last night Mr. Opera and Iruma had briefed her on what she'd have to do.

Kichona would have to walk to the Auditorium through the main entrance and there they would have their greetings. Then they'd have to sing the school's anthem. The lyrics that Iruma gave her were.......gruesome to say the least.

The whole ordeal scared her. To walk into a school full of demons yet the choker hidden underneath her collar gave her some peace of mind.

The carriage suddenly stoped to a halt, making Kichona jump.

"We're here", Mr. Opera's muffled voice called from the outside.

Iruma turned his head. "We're in the back entrance", he said.

"Why the back entrance?".

"You said you didn't want any attention and this carriage is bound to bring a bit of attention, Sweetness", Iruma drawled.

Touchè.

"Okay, you need to walk straight ahead, and get to the main entrance I think you know the rest", Iruma opening the door for her. "I've made it abundantly clear to Grandpa that you don't want any attention on you so you'll be invisible to others for the time being".
