Greetings!
I'm happy to announce that this chapter is a whopping 8700 words exactly (not counting the an's). This is the longest chapter I've written thus far. Sorry for the long wait. As I had exams, I had little time to type this past two months! Anyway please comment what you think because this is a loooong chapter, and I need feedback.

I took inspiration for this chapter from "The Corpse Bride" and "Heaven Official's Blessing", episode 2. And I remembered that I started writing this fanfiction on 1st of February 2021, so Happy Anniversary plus a week, I guess?

Also please read the A.N at the end.

Kichona sat idly in her bedroom at Sullivan's mansion.

On her lap asleep was her lavender-coloured cat. It was curled quite comfortably within it's summoner's hold, purring softly occasionally.

"What to name you little guy?", Kichona said to herself, scratching behind it's ears. Kichona played with the ends of her hair, recounting the happenings at school.

First was her meeting Lily and that Wilra. Second was her rather flighty encounter with Balam Sir. Third was her summoning a subordinate which just so happens to be a cat! A cat of sorts....

Kichona massaged her temples, feeling her thoughts swirl again.

Then lastly were those screams she and the other students heard and the purple lightning...it was all quite bizzare. Strange was one word. Exciting was another. It was quite the ordeal.

"Miss Kichona, may I enter", she heard Opera's voice call from outside her door, disrupting her train of thought.

"Come in", she wailed.

Opera came in with a food cart, with a tray of steaming food. "What's with the food? I've already had breakfast this morning", Kichona raised an eyebrow.

"I've brought a mid-morning snack Miss Kichona. It will soothe your nerves", he told her dryly.

"Why do my nerves need soothing?", she asked him.

"You must be shaken after those....happenings at school", Opera said while pouring a cup of tea.

"I'm not that shaken, but who am I to refuse food", Kichona tittered, taking the cup that Opera offered to her.

"Food does relieve stress for some of us. Eat well Miss Kichona", Opera set her a bowl filled with what appeared to be clear looking noodles.

"This is the closest thing you can get to noodles in the Netherworld. These are glass noodles—no they're not made of glass—with a sweet dip. The noodles are spicy and they go well with sweet tea", Opera explained, reading her curious look.

"Oh", Kichona breathed. She drank the tea while inhaling the fammiliar scent of honey.

Opera's gaze landed on the cat creature within her hold. "Your subordinate is quite docile as of now", he commented.

"She wasn't like that in the carriage though", Kichona chortled.

True, her subordinate wrestled and clawed at the windows at the ludicrous speed they were going. It screeched at the roof of the carriage, tearing the curtains and leather. Kichona sat in a cold sweat after entering the said carriage, silently praying for it to be over.

"Yes, not all creatures enjoy a relaxing carriage ride as we", Opera sashayed, rubbing the sleeping creature's head.

Kichona wanted to bark out in laughter and point out that she indeed did not enjoy that carriage ride, rather that she was glad that there was someone who expressed their own displeasure. But she bit back her taunt and puffed her cheeks as to not offend the demon.
