my lovely demon; baji x chifuyu

Chapter-3

"We will be sharing this room stated Baji."

For Chifuyu did not understand this sudden development he asked,

"In a mansion this big, I see no reason for us to bed together."

"Well you see I need my bride to be by my side at all times"

"Baji-san, you are mistaken. I am not your bride, but a mere sacrifice. If it is your wish to bed with me, I shall. But not because I am your bride, but your servant"

It seems there is a slight misunderstanding amongst these men. As Chifuyu has lived his whole life being told he will be a sacrifice. And that Baji is not a nice demon, he has kept it in his heart to fulfill his duty. There was never a mention of him being a bride therefore he is not aware on how to enact on it.

"Chifuyu listen, I would never expect you to be my servant. We have always been standing together as equals. I may be an immortal, and you a human, but that gives me no reason to make you do something you do not wish to do so."

"Not once have I mentioned that I didnt want to do something you told me to do. I made it clear, if it is what you wish, I will do it."

It can be told even by fools that Chifuyu clearly adores this demon. But he has been brain washed for his whole life that he is to be a slave. The sudden change in scenarios made him unaware of his feelings.

"Is that out of duty? Baji asked him."

For Chifuyu was not sure of what his heart wished, he answered:

"I'm not so sure"

We know very well Baji has lived longer than any mortal of the lands that he resides in. He has seen and felt many things that a normal being would perhaps never even be able to comprehend. For him to wait for a mortals feelings to recollect, he would wait even another thousand years if it is what he has to do.

"It is alright to not be clear of your feelings. I am surprised you remember my name even."

"Of course I remember your name. And that face of yours. Your canines are hard to forget. But oddly the only thing I remember is you. I have no recollection of the rest. It can be said I dont even know what we were to each other."

"It seems a part of my wish did some true."

"What was that?"

Baji could tell that Chifuyu had more than enough questions waiting for him.

"Lets not stand here any longer. I shall take you to my garden. For we have a long night ahead of us, dont we?"

It seems the topic of where Chifuyu will be resting during the night would be kept for later.

The demon wraps his long, firm arm, around Chifuyus thin shoulders.

"Baj-"

"Shh..my arms are the safest place in the lands and the skies. It is better I keep you in them."

Chifuyu did not utter a word. He was far too flustered to think of any form of vocabulary that would make sense. Neither did he question why he felt like that or why his heart was pounding questionably for a creature that is not only a demon, but a man.

His arm wrapped around Chifuyus shoulders, he takes him towards the garden.

As they walk without saying a word, Chifuyu realizes that he in incredibly small compared towards the demon. Even when they were flying in the clouds, he could fit in the demons arms perfectly. A part of him felt safe in this unfamiliar feeling.

"We have arrived"

Chifuyu gasped. While his heads were covered in clouds, he didnt notice what was in front of him.

The trees had golden branches that shined and blue leaves that looked like pearls. The flowers were transparent and glowed making them look like diamonds. There were fireflies helping the darkness to go away. Amongst all the beauty, two trees shined brighter than anything else. They looked like they were facing each other. And in between the two huge trees, was a tea spot. [ yo off topic but are there any genshin players who have a tea spot in their tea pot.]

Baji took the young human towards his pretty tea spot.

"Do you find this place beautiful?"

"I was left breathless for a second there. I have never been out of the village but I can tell this is the most beautiful place anyone could be in."

"I think any place with you in it is so beautiful, its beyond the words of humankind."

Chifuyu's face became red not knowing how to act.

While they were talking, the food had already been prepared. In the snap of his fingers, Baji could get anything to him. The powers of an immortal are to be looked down on.

They continued to talk as they shared their first meal together.

"Baji-San, do you know what a yakisoba is?"

Baji eyes got wider.

"You don't have any memories of invents in your pervious life right?"

"Certainly, I only remember you and how you were. Is yakisoba perhaps something important?"

"It's the first thing we ate together. Yes, it's important. Would you like to have it?"

"Of course! Make sure we divide it equally."

"What was that Chifuyu?" Baji shocked Chifuyu said the words that they often shared in their previous lives.

"I mean we're almost done with our meal, I don't think it'll be too good for our stomachs if we eat too much."

Baji looks at Chifuyu. We can tell through his eyes that this human was dear to him. It seems Chifuyu is the same boy he met when he was young. Even in another life nothing has changed about him. So beautiful, quick to say things and has that contagious smile. He wanted nothing but to remain in this moment as his heart clenched looking at the beautiful human in front of him.

"I see, okay we will do that. But, is it alright for me to ask you something in return?"

"Sure, as long as I can give it."

"I'd like you to come closer and sit on my lap and share a kiss with me."

"Without any hesitation, Chifuyu gets up as though he was waiting for this moment.
