The Hamiltons were all having fun and relaxing upstate, except for one, Alexander was stressed out of his mind and was trying to figure out a way to convince Jefferson and Madison to vote for his financial plan. Then he heard a knock at the front door.

He opened the front door to see a stunning, but familiar, woman in a red dress with red, luscious lips at the front door. She looked like she was in distress.

"I'm so sorry to bother you at home." the woman purred. "But I am Maria Reynolds and I am in desperate need of money. You see my husband has been beating me, cheating me, mistreating me. And now he's up and gone. I really don't have the means to go on."

Hamilton looked at this poor miserable woman and decided to do the right thing.

"I'll walk you home."

That had to be one of the worst mistakes of his life.

---

It was now a month into this endeavor when he received a letter from Mr James Reynolds. It read,

(I'm just gonna use the letter from the musical so I don't have to make a whole new one lol - Lazy author)

Dear Sir, I hope this letter finds you in good health and in a prosperous enough position to put wealth in the pockets of people like me, down on their luck. You see, that was my wife you decided to-

"Fuuu.." Alexander whispered to himself in panic.

Uh oh you made the wrong sucker a cuckold, so time to pay the price before the pants you are unbuckled. And hey, you can keep seeing my wh*re wife if the price is right. If not, I'm telling your wife.
~James Reynolds

Alexander hid the letter as fast as he could and raced to Maria's place.

"How could you?!" he screamed into her face.

"No sir!" Maria wailed. "Please don't go sir!"

"So your whole story was a set-up?"

"I don't know about any letter!"

"Stop crying, God dammit, get up!"

But the woman didn't get up, she stayed crumpled up on the ground sobbing.

Alexander knew he fucked up.

---

Alexander handed the wad of dollar bills Mr Reynolds.

"Nobody needs to know." he instructed.

James Reynolds just nodded with a sly smirk on his face.

"Pleasure doing business with ya."

The next day Lafayette and Mulligan visited Peggy to see how the plan was working. The walked into the living room to see her sitting on the sofa with a satisfied grin.

"We did it" she said. "The whole affair is done."

The two men looked at the woman with surprised looks.

"Already?" Lafayette asked.

"Already." Peggy confirmed.

"Now we wait for another opportunity to arise."
