Evie and Katie woke up changed and got into the kitchen "Hey Girls" Steve said "Hey Stevie" Katie said "Eve" Connor asked as Evie hummed an answer "You okay" Connor asked "Yeah" Evie said as they ate breakfast after that they got to school and to class

Evie's POV:

I couldn't pay attention but when the door flew open and a redheaded girl came inside i payed attention "This must be our new student" Mr.Clarke said as the girl wanted to get to a free seat next to me "You don't get away that easily don't be shy" Mr.Clarke said as the girl walked back "Maxine" Mr.Clarke said "It's Max" the readhead said "Sorry" "Nobody calls me Maxine it's Max" Max said as Mr.Clarke said she can go she walked to the seat beside me i looked at her as she walked she looked at me and smiled i smiled back and turned around to pay attention "What was that" Connor asked "Nothing pay attention" i said he looked at Max and then to Mr.Clarke

At lunch we are outside watching Max but i paced around "There is no way that's MadMax" Mike said "Yeah girls don't play video games" Lucas said "What's that supposed to mean" Katie and i asked "Except for you" Will said "Even if you can't get 750 000 points on Dig Dug that's impossible except for Eve and Connor" Mike said "Why don't we talk to her" Will asked "We can't do that" Mike said "Mike the party leaders choose not you" Lucas said "Eve will you talk to her" Katie asked "Yes" i said as i walked towards Max "Hey" i said "Hey" Max said "You're Max right" i asked even tho i know it's her "Yes and you are" Max asked holding her hand out "I'm Evie nice to meet you" i said shaking her hand "Nice to meet you too" Max said while we let go of each other's hand "Are those your friends" Max asked looking behind me "Yes" i said "Do you play Dig Dug" Max asked "Yes" i said "Wanna meet at the arcade just you and me" Max asked "I need to ask my parents first" i said "Evie and Katie Harrington" the principal said as Katie and i looked at him "Your brother is here" Mr Coleman said "Oh no" i hear Katie say causing me to turn to her "You okay" i ask making her look at me "Yeah yeah i'm....fine" Katie said "Come on" Katie said "I need to go meet you at the arcade maybe" i say to Max "Yeah" Max said as i was about to walk to Steve's car "Wait Eve" Connor said causing me to turn around he ran towards me and hugged me "Be safe" Connor said seriously after he pulled away "I will don't do anything stupid bye guys" i say walking to Steve's car

3rd person POV:

Evie and Katie got into Steve's car "You said we aren't going back" Evie said "I'm sorry" Steve said still staying in front of the school "You promised" Evie said with tears in her eyes "The doctor said you need to go there they'll help you" Steve said "Oh they are going to help me after they let the monster do what it wants and almost killed me i almost died Steve and it's their fault and you want me to get back there" Evie said tears rolling down her face none of the three in the car saw Max watching them "You what" Steve asked in disbelief "I almost died" Evie said more tears streaming down her face Katie just listened in shock "The-oh god" Katie said as tears started rolling down her face "We can't go back there and they would test us more and probably won't let us go" Evie said "I-I won't drive you to that shit hole" Steve said as Joyce knocked at the window Steve rolled the window down "What's wrong" Joyce asked "Don't bring Will to the Lab they almost killed Evie" Steve said "What" Joyce asked "Steve is right when we were there that thing almost killed her" Will said quietly not wanting anyone else to hear "Joyce drive to our house we will explain everything" Evie said "Okay" Joyce said as she walked to her car and drove behind the Harrington's

They pulled into the driveway and got out of the car in the Harrington house no one was there they sat down in the living room Will and Evie explained everything every single detail "Why didn't you tell us before Eve" Steve asked softly "I-I was scared i didn't want to remember these bad things" Evie said while crying Katie just sat there in shock and tears streaming out of her eyes Will comforted Evie while Joyce comforted Katie "It's okay you don't need to talk about it" Steve said "But Will doesn't have powers so he can go" Steve said "Yeah we need to go" Joyce said "Be safe please" Evie said "We will" Joyce said walking with Will out the door "When is Connor coming" Evie asked wiping her tears away "After school" Steve said after an hour Connor came and they ate then got to bed
