Charlie's P.O.V

April 2017

Luke & I were both twenty years old now. We were out of our teen years. Since we had gotten back together in Nashville way back over two years ago, things had only gone up for us.

I stayed in Nashville until September of 2015 & even though Luke was on his first headline arena tour for most of the year, any break either of us had was spent visiting the other. I wrote with a list of crazy amazing musicians & also some up & coming artists so I had my dream job & my dream man. The biggest breakthrough I had was when Katy Perry & I wrote a song together that ended up becoming a huge single for her. After that, my name was actually respected in the music world & people were asking to write with me. I was a fresh writer in music so people apparently liked that. The best part about that was once I was known, artists were willing to come by me to write so I was then able to travel with Luke a lot more often.

After Nashville, I moved into my own apartment in L.A. My family was in L.A so that's where my life was & that's where I wanted to stay. I spent my time either in L.A or in Sydney with Luke. I was racking up frequent flyer miles so it was easier & easier to see him. Or I'd see him on tour if that was what he was doing at the time too.

5sos had a few albums out now, each doing better than the previous & they were finally being respected as a pop punk rock band. Their music was most edgy & their sound was only improving.

Their label, Hi or Hey Records was also taking off & I was writing songs with the new artists that they were signing which also allowed for Luke & I to spend more time together.

Even though we were only twenty, we had been dating over three years. I loved where our relationship was at. We had the youth so our relationship, specifically our sex life, was phenomenal but we had been together long enough that there was a maturity to our relationship as well. We were able to work through problems & take a look at life with a different maturity level.

But I was still Luke's baby girl & that would never change.

The longer we were together, the less hate & the less trouble it caused in the fandom too. Part I think was due to the fact that his fans were growing up as well & they were beginning to realize sending hate to a girlfriend of a guy you haven't ever met is a bit extreme but they also saw how good Luke & I were for each other. That was the thing, we literally were just good for each other.

When Luke & I were both on breaks, we began taking trips together too. Even though we traveled a lot with his touring, we never had multiple days to explore a city & be a true tourist so we started to travel together too. Holidays with Luke were my favorite. They were just him & I, away from everyone & everything.

Luke was coming to visit me in L.A after 5sos was doing some promo work in London for their new single.

Oh by the way, Amnesia ended up becoming a 5sos single. It didn't just make their second album, it became a single & I got credit for that.

I was at a studio working on some song writing when Luke arrived but he had a key to my apartment so when I would get home from work, Luke would be there waiting.

& that was exactly what happened.

I picked up dinner on my way home & then I was greeted by a very happy Luke.

"Hi baby." He kissed me as I walked in. Three years later & Luke still greets me with a hello kiss, as if it's the most important kiss of his life. But as Luke explains, all kisses are the most important things in of his life.
