Lost Star

Chapter 3

After a 10 hour drive to Ilocos Norte, the family reached the house of Lola Owa (Dad's Mother).

Jovie: (inside the car) "Vince, wake up! We are already here in the house of Lola Owa."

Vincent: "Good Morni-...... Why is it still dark?"

Jovie: "It's only 10 in the evening. C'mon, let's go inside the house.'

They got out of the car and stretched a little before they went inside the house.

Lola Owa: 'Oh! How are you, Vincent? How's your vacation in the states?"

Vincent: "Good evening Lola. (hugging) I have so much fun, Lola."

Jovie then picked up the luggage and carried them to their rooms.

While Mom and Dad are fixing the rooms, Ate Jovie invites Vincent to go with her to the Basketball court in front of the house.

Jovie: "Vince, let's go there and sit on the bench while watching the stars."

Vincent: "Oh okay. (looking at Lola Owa) Lola, we will just go out for a bit." Lola Owa nodded.

Jovie and Vincent sat down on the bench and looked at the star-filled sky.

Jovie: "Have you found your star?."

Vincent: "Found what?"

Jovie: "The star that shines and gives glows to your heart."

Vincent: "What do you mean, Ate?"

Jovie: "A star that brings you joy, like a crush."

Vincent: "I don't have a crush."

Jovie: 'What happened to the girl you like at the birthday party? What's her name again? I remember she was with her aunt. They rode with us in the car and brought them home."

Vincent: "Oh that was a long time ago. She has already transferred to another school and her name is Princess."

Jovie: "Oh I see. Anyways, when you find love in your heart, it is so easy to spot a star up there shining on you. You feel that the star puts a glow in your face as well in your veins. It makes you alive,

Vincent: "Ate Jovie. Is this some kind of a joke? Maybe that is the effect of watching too many Teleseryes' '. (Yawning). I think I am now sleepy.''

Jovie: "You just wait till you feel it. Let's go."

Jovie and Vincent then walk back to the house.
