CHAPTER 5: Ocean storm

Ten days on sea the sun starts to rise and while Raven was sleeping like a rock there was a storm approaching the yacht, upstairs wheelhouse the captain is asleep then wake up to the radar beeping informing him of the storm approaching from the east. The yacht starts to rock a little as the captain tries to steer the boat away from the storm but there was no use it was a big storm heading toward them, so the captain calls Robert and tells him there is a storm approaching the east side and it will be a bit bumpy. My father was upset but said okay, as the waves get more bumpy raven fell off her bed and onto the floor waking up. "What just happened?" I get up from the floor and gets dressed in baby blue skinny jeans and a large white sweater and my lilac Crocs.

I go upstairs to see the storm raining down all over the sea for miles. I shiver as the wind that was blowing was cold and I went to the kitchen to get some food to take back to my room.

I find everything to make grits and eggs my favorite breakfast with arugula.

As raven makes her breakfast the chef for the yacht comes in confused why she was in the kitchen and not with her parents and sister in the inside dinning room.  "Miss may I ask why you are in the kitchen and not with your parents?" Asks the chef, I turn around looking up from me cooking to the chef.

You must be new to the staff because they know I don't come on family vacation," I say looking at him knowing he definitely was new. He seem shocked "sorry I didn't mean to be rude miss and yes I'm new my name is jack." He puts his hand out for a handshake and I take his hand and shake it "hello jack, my name is raven and it's okay I am not usually that rude just being on sea is bit new for me and I'm not really enjoying it being a land person and all, " I laugh saying that. Raven turns to put her Grits and eggs in the bowl near her.  "That looks good you could be a professional chef," says jack smiling. I chuckle and bow my head a little. "Thank you but it's nothing special I always cook for myself at home it's a simple dish that I was taught by our house maid mary." Jack nods and keeps staring at my food. "Do you want some there is extra grits?" Jack says yes and so I make a bowl for him and fry up an egg and we sit down at the kitchen table and eat. We start to talk about our hobby besides raven having magic. "That was amazing your gonna have to show me how you make that tomorrow." Says Jack, raven nods and say yes. As we still talk the boat started rocking harshly then some lots fall onto the ground, Jack covers raven making sure nothing hits her. It starts to get worse so the two walk up to the captain and seeing the Strom thrashing against the sea. " Jerry what's going on this storm is getting worse?"

"I'm trying to Jack but this storm is getting worse I'm gonna have to find a port to stop till this storm leaves and the closes place we are at is hachinohe port in Japan." As Jerry says that a wave hits and knocking me into jacks chest. "Sorry" I say " it's okay raven, Jerry how long till we get to that port? " says jack holding me so I don't fall. " Two hours maybe 4 tops of we can get out of the eye of the storm," jerrys says looking worried. Me and jack nod and get back down stairs, we head to the kitchen to check on the state of it seeing lots of pots and pans on the floor. We started to clean it up securing everything on place for now. "That should do it for now what you gonna do for now raven? " I think for a little " I'll probably go back to my room there's a small library next to my room." Jack nods and we head to the library that was connected to my room. We open the door to a beautiful small library.

Jack sits down looking out the window as raven gets a book and sits down by him. As the boat sways the room starts to get a little cold and unknown raven snuggles next to jack, he sees this and wrap his arms around her and then she snuggles into his chest. Raven keeps reading till she falls asleep in his arms, and jack notices this and takes the book away and picks her up and takes her to her room and puts her under the blankets and sits on the sofa making sure she was okay.
