The Haunting

"Karasu, i'm scared!" Akimi was crying and holding onto his boyfriend for dear life, clutching at his jacket and sinking his face into Toshio's neck.

"Shhh. Calm down, Kitsune."

Toshio held Akimi against him, running his fingers soothingly through the fox's white hair.

"B-but but- what if something happens to her, Toshio?! W-what if-"

Toshio grabbed the back of Akimi's neck and pulled him closer by his lower waist, kissing him with as much tongue as he could.

"Mhmh~" Akimi whimpered lightly out of shock before melting into the raven's tongue.

"W-what was that f-for-" Akimi asked.

His usually porcelain cheeks were red and hot. His eyes beamed their hot pink hue at Toshio, who just smirked.

"To calm you down~"

Toshio brushed his finger along Akimi's jawline and tightened his grip around the ladder's thin figure.

"Did it work~?"

"Just a bit-"

Akimi covered his mouth and pressed his forehead against Toshio's shoulder, moving closer against him.

"Its just a simple operation, Akimi. They do them all the time and it doesn't take very long. She'll be out soon."

Akimi nodded, tightening his grip on the raven's jacket. Toshio kissed the top of his head.

---20 minutes later---

"Mr. Kaneshiro? Mr. Shimoda?"

A female voice was heard from the door of the recovery room.

"Y-yes! Where is she?!"

Akimi replied fast, jumping from Toshio's arms and running towards the door. His silky white hair trailed through the air behind him.

Toshio followed.

The veterinarian smiled at the anxious parent. She led them inside the room and to a metal table in the back. There lied a sleeping baby Nao.

Akimi rushed over to the table placing his slender fingers to the sides of her head and kissing her between the ears.

"Where you scared, 私のかわいそうな赤ちゃんの天使 (my poor baby angel)?" Akimi asked an unconscious Nao.

Toshi wrapped his arms around Akimi's waist, resting his head in the crook of the fox's neck.

"I told you she would be alright, Kitsune." Toshio whispered.

He took the red velvet blanket off his arm and wrapped it around the puppy, petting her gently.

"She did very well. And her heart worms are completely gone. She's finally healthy and safe with her family." The woman said cheerfully.

Akimi carefully picked her up, carrying her to the car and tucking her blanket in.

"どうもありがとうございます！(Thank you very much!)" Toshio exclaimed while exiting the animal hospital.

He opened the door to the back seat for Akimi and Nao. They had brought one of the big SUVs today so Akimi could hold Nao comfortably in the backseat. The fox placed her in his lap with his back against the car door.

Toshio gave him a kiss before entering the drivers seat and starting the engine. He drove like a grandmother all the way home.
