purly headcanons #1

- together Ponyboy and Curly are just a chaos duo. Like there's always some shit happening when they hang out together (usually involves something relatively illegal, also cops tbh)

- Curly smokes weed and you can't tell me no

- he got Ponyboy to smoke with him and he choked the first time so they shotgunned and it ended with giggly Ponyboy and accidental nose bumping while just being so incredibly close

- Curly is really protective. Anything remotely bad happens to Ponyboy and he takes out whatever or whoever the problem is

- Ponyboy is completely oblivious to this and is just happy that the problems dissappear

- Curly speaks Spanish and Ponyboy doesn't know anything he's saying. Constsnt flirting (or dirty talk because Ponyboy doesn't get it) and Ponyboy will ask Johnny (who I headcanon is decently fluent) and his face is just so red

- "Johnny what's that mean?"

- "he wants to do what to you now??"

- Curly steals gifts all the time for Ponyboy. He doesn't care where he gets it

- okay modern Ponyboy loves Barnes and Noble and he'll drag Curly with him

- Curly sees Ponyboy staring at really nice and expensive hardcover books and then tries to smuggle them in his leather jacket because he will do anything for Ponyboy

- Curly steals Tim's car (when Dallas doesn't have it) to go out at night to go driving with Ponyboy and it almost always ends out in a make out session in the backseat

- Curly is actually really smart but he plays dumb because he doesn't want people to have high expectations for him

- ngl their first time together was at Curly's house when they were both high

- Ponyboy was embarrassed about it but Curly just thought that it was so cute

- at Ponyboy's track meets, Curly always cheers the loudest. He does not care about people thinking he's too loud or obnoxious

- Darry and Soda hate Curly tbh because they think he's a bad influence

- like it's constant glaring and they've given him the big brother talk about what happens if he were to hurt Ponyboy

- Curly is scared of Darry, but not of Soda because Soda doesn't intimidate him all that much

- they've been caught making out before and Ponyboy was mortified (it was by Dallas of all people)

- if they're sitting close enough in the back of the classroom, they'll link pinkies just because they like affection and feel the need to be touching in some kind of way

- Curly is 6'1 while Ponyboy is a whopping 5'5

- Johnny was the first time figure out that they were dating. He caught them making out in the lot after he went to go sleep there because of his parents

- just left to Buck's place to use Dallas's room

- Ponyboy draws pictures for Curly and writes him poetry or cheesy love letters (mostly when he's bored(

- Curly keeps all of it I'm a box under his bed and he reads them when he's sad and Ponyboy can't come over

- Ponyboy is pretty confident now because of Curly, and he doesn't take much shit from anyone anymore

- usual dates consist of sneaking into the drive-in or even the movie theater itself, Curly stealing the car and he takes Ponyboy stargazing because he knows how much he loves it, or he steals a bunch of snacks and drinks from stores and they have a picnic

- Curly wears jewelery (rings, maybe a necklace) and he likes to let Ponyboy wear them sometimes becuase he thinks it looks cute

- Ponyboy loves forehead kisses because Curly is so tall

- nicknames for Curly include: Curls, babe, handsome, Shepard, love, darling (Curly absolutelyloves this one), sweetheart, stud-muffin (uses this to be really playful)

- nicknames for Ponyboy include: Ponybabe, Ponybaby, baby Curtis, baby, dollface, nerd, babydoll, Curtis, angel (Ponyboy loves this one so much), babyboy (more in a wholesome sense tbh)

- they got matching tattoos around 4 months of dating because they're both impulsive and thought it was a good idea

- Curly's is right on his arm where everyone can see it because he's proud of having Ponyboy

- Ponyboy's is right on the line of where his jeans usually rest on his hips (more near the side of his hip) because he knows that only he can see it. Although if his jeans ride lower than normal, you can see it poking out above the waistband

- it's a small hand drawn heart with their initials in it (Ponyboy designed it and Curly loved the idea of it)

- Curly has tons of ear piercings but his favorite is his tongue piercing that he did as a bet

- Ponyboy loves Curly's piercings and he wanted to get his own. He got a belly button piercing because he wanted to be cool, and it was in a place his brothers couldn't see (which was mostly what he was looking for)

- Curly thinks it's hot tbh

- Ponyboy is really into celebrating anniversaries, but tends to forget because he's not that bright let's be honest (he's book smart but that's it)

- sometimes thet celebrate anniversaries like a week later when one of them remembers it
