Wow.
Jade and the doctor were now on the other end of the portal.
"Where are we?" Jade analyzed her surroundings as best as she could. The first thing she noticed were the long, rolling hills and fields around her. It was warm, with a slight breeze. Her hair was faintly blowing in the wind as she tried to take in every detail. It was beautiful.
Now I really feel like I'm dreaming.
"In all honesty, I really don't know. Couldn't care less, though." He shrugged. "I just manifested somewhere where we could talk without any interruptions."
"So that place you so-called manifested happens to be in the middle of nowhere? In where, Sweden?" All Jade was thinking about was wanting to get home.
"Correction, Germany."
"Same thing."
Dr. Strange distinctively waved his hands around, and started to create a huge wall of patterns and intricate designs. Those same orange sparks flying everywhere. A lot of what he made Jade found very familiar.
"What are those?" Jade asked curiously.
"Those," He pointed. "Are called runes. I'm surprised you don't know of them by now."
"What do you mean? I've never seen those before." She said honestly. "Although they do look familiar. I guess nothing is a surprise to me at this point."
"Jade Mirren," He turned and looked at her sternly. "You're going to have to give me an explanation of why you have these abilities at some point. I'm not known to be the most patient."
The intricate wall was still standing, and Strange was starting to become frustrated. For some reason, as much as he knew about her, he just couldn't put a finger on what was wrong. Was she a nexus being? He probably was trying to find as many answers as she was.
Jade took a moment to think to herself. How could she possibly know to trust this guy? She just met him today. Maybe he's some sort of guardian angel. Yeah, that must be it. There's no other reason he should be able to know as many things about her as he does.
"Before you say anything, and if I didn't make it clear the first time, I'm Doctor Stephen Strange, a total pleasure to meet you too. Anyway, I've had a feeling about you for quite a while now. You are..." He started. "How do I put this, you are an extremely rare breed, Jade. You will get your answers sooner than later but to start with, I can sense you're not of this world. Not of this dimension, at least."
What is he talking about?
He started to create a powerful visual in front of her, trying to give her a gist of what exactly he was trying to get at.
"This, is our universe, our timeline, and our dimension." He stretched a line with his hands and showed her the differences between them all, and continued to explain each one. "What I'm guessing here is...let me see, is that someone placed you in the wrong...place."
"If this is all a joke, and you're going to tell me I'm some sort of mistake, save it. I don't have time for this." She ran her fingers through her hair in frustration as she started to walk down the hill. Strange grabbed her arm and turned her around looking right into her piercing blue eyes.
"Jade, I know this is all very new to you, but you are going to have to listen to me. You can control your abilities almost the same way I do and I think that's enough for us to have some understanding of one another." He sighed. "This is not by coincidence you're standing in front of me right now, and you better start believing it."
