It was cold.
Jade rubbed her arms as she stepped out into the breeze. She was now outside of the compound, with the pavement under her feet. It was very quiet.
All of a sudden, she heard an engine roar in the distance. She turned to her left, and a large aircraft just landed on the side of the building. A ramp unfolded and people started walking down. It's probably the rest of the team. She thought.
She decided she wasn't fond of the idea of being confronted at the moment, so she tried walking away. She then came to the edge of some trees, deciding to explore a little in the wood. Leaves and branches crunched underneath her feet as she walked and took in the fresh, night air.
She stood still, turning her face towards the moon and appreciated it's beauty. Her blue eyes lit up at the sight.
She was then interrupted by the sound of a branch breaking behind her.
"Hello?" She looks around her.
She locks eyes with a large man, now towering above her. She was frightened. She tried to continue walking, but he grabbed ahold of her arm by force.
"You think you're sneaky, huh?" He asks. His voice is husk, and deep.
"I don't think I know who you are." She gains a small bit of confidence, and smirks.
"Likewise." He answers.
"I'm Jade. Jade Mirren." She holds out her hand to shake.
"Yeah, sure. And I'm Jesus. What reason do you have for me to believe you?" He retorts.
"None, I guess." With that, she yanked her arm away, and walked off. He followed.
"You can't do that!" He yelled.
"I do as I please!" She mocked.
He caught up to her, and grabbed her arm again to face him. This time, the hand he grabbed her with was a shining silver. A metal arm. The moon was shining on his face just right, and she could actually see what he looked like. They locked eyes yet again and she started to analyze his features. He had piercing blue eyes, dark brown hair that was pulled into a messy man bun, and a short beard.
Dreamy.
Wait, he looks so familiar. Was he the one at the train sta-
Snap out of it.
Being so close to her like this was honestly starting to make the soldier nervous on the inside. He could admit she was attractive. Blue eyes, dark hair. Even her stubborn personality.
She was familiar.
He shook it off. He didn't know her.
"Stop it." He told her. "I'm taking you to the compound, and they may not be so nice to you."
He's with them? She wondered.
"The hell you're not." She said between her perfect clenched teeth.
He ignored her, and continued to use his strength to pull her out of the woods and towards the compound. She tried to use her powers to make him fail, but it didn't work with him holding her so tightly.
