"You grow up!"

Loki got thrown into the same room he was first interviewed in with Mobius. Realizing where he was, he started to panic, turning around to leave, and bumping into Mobius.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Mobius.. I.. I'm so sorry.."

"Sit down."

Loki bit his lip anxiously, and did what Mobius told him.

"Mobius.."

"What were you thinking? What did you not understand about my job being on the line, your life? Do you understand how hard it'll be for me to dig you out of another hole, especially this rather deep hole that you just made?"

"I... can you.. could you see us? Know what we were saying on the train?"

"... no? Why?"

"Just um.. just wondering.." they leaned back in their chair a bit.

"Is there something you need to tell me, Loki? Because I'd really like an explanation for what the hell just happened."

"Mobius.." Loki leaned forward, taking his hands. Mobius's heart lept, and he eyed Loki carefully, wondering what he was playing at.

"All lies aside.. all.. all of the bullshit I always tell myself, I always tell everyone.. I'm a narcissist."

".. go on?"

"I hurt people, and lie, and cheat, because.. I'm afraid.. of being alone. Yet I've always been alone anyways. It's all I've known. I'm so used to people rejecting me eventually, so I reject them first. So.." he tightened his grip on his hands, and Mobius leaned forward slightly. "I'd like to change that." He said softly, looking Mobius thoughtfully in the eyes.

"Is this a trick?" Mobius whispered.

"I'd sure hope not. I'm done lying, Mobius. You're the only person I've ever felt has truly understood me. That.. I trust."

"All I did was study your whole life."

They both laughed, and for the first time in his life, Loki had this warm, content feeling in their heart. They took their right hand, still holding Mobius's hand in the other, and softly held his face. Mobius looked at him with these puppy eyes Loki had never seen from him before, and time stopped. Loki slowly leaned in..

"Mobius?"

They both turned around to see Judge Renslyer staring in shock.
