Sen sighed, noticing his classmates desperately exchanging notes with one another. A piece of crumpled paper unceremoniously landed itself on his desk. Taking a quick glance at the teacher to make sure she was not looking his way, Sen opened the note knowing what to expect.
answer to the 23rd question plsss :))
He recognized the barely legible scrawl. Rolling his eyes with a scoff, he wrote down the answer after quickly thumbing through his own answer sheet.
Stealing a second glance at the teacher, Sen slipped the piece of paper back to its owner who sat right behind him.
After finishing his test Sen folded his arms on top of the desk laying his head down. The steady beating of droplets against the window soon lulled him to much needed sleep.
Kaira stretched her hands above head hearing the satisfying crack of her back. Sighing in content she slouched back into her seat.
"Hey thanks for helping me out!" A loud voice called, footsteps approaching her.
Smiling lazily, Kaira tilted her head back to look up at the owner of the voice, "Hmm you can thank me with pizza."
Nathan bowed, a hand over his heart, "Anything for a pretty lady."
Scoffing, Kaira stood up swinging her bag over her shoulder and playfully pushed past him, eyes locked on the sleeping figure in front of her.
She crouched down and poked the peaceful looking boy. Sen groaned in response, swatting her hand away knowing it was her without having to look.
A mischievous grin split Kaira's face.
"Sen darling," she cooed, pinching his cheek, mimicking the way his mother would wake him up when they were younger. "It's time to get up~"
Head still lowered, Sen cast her a warning glare. In response she simply rolled her eyes and tugged his arm knowing that she was probably the only one who could get away with annoying the hot tempered ravenette.
"C'mon already I'm hungry." With that Kaira dragged the reluctant boy outside the classroom and towards the canteen where everyone else was headed.
Still half dazed, Sen noticed the goosebumps form on Kaira's arms as they stood in line for their meal. It had been raining the past few days and the temperature had started to drop. He had told her to bring her jacket along the previous day but of course she lacked the ability to retain a thought for more than five minutes.
Grumbling under his breath, he stripped himself of his jacket and tossed it into her head.
"The last thing I want is to hear you whine about catching a cold." He said, slipping his hands into his uniform pants.
"And they say chivalry is dead." She grinned, turning back to look at him, a teasing glint in her eyes.
Sen tsked and looked away. His eyes caught Nathan's who was wiggling his eyebrows at him after taking notice of the exchange between the two childhood friends. Sen decided to simply ignore his knucklehead of a friend for his own peace of mind.
Soon the last bell sounded dismissing the students for the day. All Sen wanted was to nap; he had stayed up late revising for their bio test.
"Are you coming over?" Sen asked tiredly as he started packing his bag.
"Hmm?" Kaira hummed distractedly. She was perched on top of his desk busy scrolling on her phone.
"Fucking look at me when I talk to you." Sen grumbled, not actually meaning any harm.
She turned to face him with her tongue sticking out. For a second he contemplated the consequences of tossing her out of the window. Shaking his head lightly to clear his mind, Sen repeated himself. It was a ritual for the two of them to hang out after school and complete their assignments together ever since they were little.
