Chapter two

After school I walked home. It wasn't a far walk considering it was only 30 minutes. Mom had to stay after for a meeting and I didnt want to wait. Once I got home I decided to do some homework. I didn't have much because it is a new school year. After an hour and a half of homework I took off my binder and opened my docs and started to write more. After about an hour I heard the door open downstairs and mom's voice. "Alec I'm home!" she yelled "Okay be down in a second mom!" I yelled back, shutting my laptop and running downstairs. "How was the meeting?" I asked

"Good, I met all the teachers and other employees there nice. I like them." Mom said as I sat on the counter "Cool, do we have any plans today?" I asked "Oh. I have a date with Olivia, I hope that's okay" Mom said, setting her purse on the table. "Oh yeah it's all good I can just order pizza or something." I said "Okay love you Alec I'm going to take a shower." Mom said and left for her bathroom. About ten minutes later I heard the water start running and I went upstairs and laid on my bed playing music on my phone humming along. Soon I heard mom singing to "But little do we know the stars welcome him with open arms.." Mom sang.

I sat up pulling out my headphones. "O-oh hi mom I didn't realize you were out of the shower" I said looking at her "Oh yeah I figured I would check on you and I heard you humming so I listened for a bit before I realized what you were listening to." She rubbed her neck and I smiled at her "It's okay mom I just didn't realize you knew the song" I said "Oh yeah I have heard it a thousand times..you play it on loop a lot kiddo" Mom said leaning up "oh sorry mom" I said standing up. "It's okay but I better get going for my date, you know just order some pizza or something okay?" Mom said "Okay mom" I said.

We hugged and she left for her date. Soon I got bored so I went downstairs and turned on the TV. About an hour into the movie I got hungry so I decided to order a pizza with just regular cheese. After the pizza got here I ate while watching my movie and I looked at the guide and saw what was next. "Childs play" I smiled. This will be fun. I love scary movies as I keep looking. I realized it was the whole movie series of chucky I smiled again and started to watch as my horror movie played. After "bride of chucky '' started playing I got tired and fell asleep. When I woke up it was 3 am. I realized I had a blanket on me and smiled knowing mom was home.
