Chapter Sixteen: Here and Now

K walks around the small park she was dropped in. She knows it will be at least a day and half before V an the Winchesters will be in Tennessee to bring her back home. She decides to walk to a motel on the corner as checks in. Luckily, she had some cash in her pocket. She pulls out her cell phone, but it's smashed to bits.
"Great. Just Great." she whispers inside her small room. K quietly goes to the front desk and asks the manager where the nearest pay phone is. He points her in some direction.

-Deans POV-
From the backseat, a phone starts ringing. Its some, slightly catchy, Taylor Swift song.
"Hello?" V says, putting it on speaker phone.
"V! oh my gosh! you will not believe the day I've had!"
"Krystal! you're okay!"
"Of course I am, silly! so I'm at a pay phone and I was wondering if you were coming to get me?"
"Memphis, right?" Sam says.
"Yes! Sadly, there isn't much to do here, well that's within walking distance anyway. so the faster you get here, the better okay?"
"You got it, K." I say. " I'm driving well over the speed limit as it is, so by the looks of it, we should be out of Texas by nightfall."
"Oh thank the gods. Well, no don't actually thank the Gods because they're major douche bags."
We all stay silent.
"Long story." she says "I'll call you later tonight." the line goes dead.
"Well, something tells me a lot has happened that we don't know about." I say, pushing harder on the accelerator.

~A Few Hours Later~

my familiar ringtone goes off so I answer.
"Hey."
"Dean." Cas says from the other line. "What's wrong."
"Cas, nothing's wrong?"
"Dean, I know something's wrong. I can sense it."
"Just a missing person Cas, no big deal." After saying this I get punched by V.
"I can find her."
"How do you- never mind. Cas she's in Memphis, Tennessee. Her names Krystal. Find her, tell her I sent you. don't leave her side."
I hang up. "Don't worry guys, Cas is gonna watch over her like the angel he is." I mummer.

-K POV-
It's been 8 hours since I called them last. Its been night for quite a while now. Though I don't have the exact time, I'd say it's around 11. I decide to stop in a little dinner and get some pancakes before heading back to the payphone. I turn the comer and bump into a handsome man in a trench coat.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention." I say trying to step around him. He grabs my shoulder.
"Krystal?"
"Y-yeah?"
"I'm Castiel. Dean sent me to watch over you."
"Well that's very sweet and all but I can watch over myself, thanks." I turn away from his grasp and keep walking.
"I was given instructions to stay with you!" he appears by my side.
I ignore him and find my way to the payphone.
V picks up. " Put me on speaker." I say before she can get a word in.
"what's up?" Dean says.
"Whats up? really? you sent your angel lover to look after me?" I look at Cas "no offense. but seriously?"
"Hey hey hey, I just wanted someone I trust there with you, just to make sure Crowley didn't come back. Safety precautions K. That's all."
"Where are you."
"We crossed the border into Arkansas, about 2 hours ago." Sam says. "we should be there sometime tomorrow."
"See you then." I hang up.
"So Cas, wanna go see a movie?"

I know it's on the short side, but hey, it's a chapter.
So K, is in the process of being returned back home, she had a falling out with her mom (who was never in her life much anyways) annnndd Cas.
so yeah, there ya go!
