Some of you lovelies might be confused when you read this chapter, actually you may already after the last update. I just wanted to say in advance that I changed a story a bit from the original plot, I know Akise only becomes a diary holder later in the anime. Trust me on this, it'll make sense when the time comes 😂... I hope.

Anyways, filler chapter nothing special. We're going to be meeting our yandere queen soon....or next update 😉

"You could've chosen a comfy disguise for me to wear." Grumbling lowly, you peer through the parallelogram aperture-where the eyes of the animal your mask represent should be- glaring at Akise's back as you stood still behind him.

There was an exuding moisture on the expanse skin between your upper lip and nose and chin, while on your temple a salty bead trickles down to your neck that seeped by the line of your shirt, all from the circulating heat compressed inside the mask covering your entire head. It was bothersome that you aren't able to reach through it, your hand could barely squeeze through the small opening of the mask around your neck to wipe your sweat.

The boy ignored you, his attention fixed on the current meeting with who he explained to you were diary holders. Idiots, it was the proper term for you to call them. No matter how many times your bestfriend explain, their reasoning of joining remained unfathomable. You get why Akise willed himself to participate but still, he could prove himself in other ways, where his life is not on the line.

Speaking of idiots, some of the podium-similar to what you and Akise were standing- were vacant, did they die already? Goddamn, how long was the game been playing?

Your body shivered, feeling an intense glare scrutinising you. Looking around to check your surrounding, Deus's voice long tuned out of your ears, everyone seemed to be focused on the God's announcement to even spare you a glance. Nonetheless, you sense eyes watching you. Scanning through every silhouettes of diary holders on the circle, sight moving past different form of body figures, your gaze lands upon a slender figure.

Her head was tilted upwards but not as high as the others who were listening. That's when you assume she's the one looking at you. Averting your gaze down, as much as you saw no point to use the mask in their gathering when your identities are hidden, a shadow covering you from head to toe, you were a bit relieved for another material concealing your face, it was as though the person could see you through the shadow.

"Something wrong?" Your eyes flicker to Akise, his neck crane halfway to glance at you.

"Nothing," Shaking your head dismissively, a bit surprised that your mask were intact enough to manage your quick movement. "Didn't expect it'd be this boring considering the amount of danger you idiots put yourselves into."

The boy only chuckles half heartedly at your comment.

"Deus. I'd like you to approve a special case,"

A deep, rugged voice of a man raises his hand that got everyone's attention, even you, and his next words stunned even the god himself.

"I'd like to give ownership of my diary to another individual."

No one knew if Deus approved the man's request, all was dismissed for them to have a private conversation. Lying in your bed, you stare at the patches of adhesive paper dotting the ceiling, cut out into stars with different facial expressions that glows when it turns dark, contemplating if such thing was possible. If it does, Akise could get out of the game alive, all he has to do is to give someone ownership of his diary.

You turn on your side, readjusting your head on your pillow that felt as though it was heavy from thinking. You'd bet anything if you can persuade him, he may not even consider it, the boy is too stubborn to think that he's playing a dangerous game with uncertainty of winning. Nonetheless, it doesn't hurt trying to convince him.
