09 | Are You Okay?

After the crazy stunt Kira had to pull during the contract signing, there was no doubt she was tired. She was currently sitting on top of a box in a hallway, while her friends and Drew were looking for her.  She can admit that maybe she used some pent up frustration when doing her little segment of destruction, but to her it felt good.

She rested her head on the wall with her eyes shut as she quietly hummed so she could only hear it. Her fingers lightly tapped on the box as she tried to relax. Her dreams were bothering her immensely, she kept on trying to convince herself that it didn't mean anything but it was hard for her to believe. 

She recognized Drew's footsteps since he had found her sitting on a box in the hallway and was currently heading to approach her. "I'm fine." Was all Kira said as she opened her eyes to fake a smile in front of Drew. He only stood confused by her, and he most certainly could tell she was not "okay."

As Kira went to walk away from him, Drew pulled her in for a hug. "Tell me what happened." he asked her hoping for her to open up, but she didn't. She just lightly pulled his arms off of her before walking away to change in the locker room.

She walked in quietly and grabbed some clothes to change into whilst ignoring her friends questions and concerned looks on their faces. She knew ignoring her friends and closing her self off from all of them wasn't good but that's how she always protected herself. She just created a front.

The rest of the night was quiet as everyone just either watched Kira's closed off self or was preparing for a match.

After awhile Charlotte was able to convince Kira to get up so they could leave together. Once in the car, the ride was also silent as they drove back to the hotel. They had the rest of the week off since Sunday was going to be a pay-per-view day.

Charlotte had gone out the room leaving Kira in it by herself, Kira only assumed it was because she was gonna meet Andrade so she didn't question it. In reality, she went to meet with Asuka, Kairi, Drew, Braun, Kofi, Woods and now E since he was in town for the pay-per-view.

"Okay, so we all notice how closed off she is right now correct?" Charlotte said and everyone pretty much nodded.

"Has to be the dream. Anytime something bothers her, she puts up a front." Asuka said 

"Well we gotta figure out a way to cheer her up." Kofi said and Woods jumped in after with an idea.

"How about we get E to cheer her up? She doesn't know he is here and they are like besties." he said and everyone pretty much nodded since they doubted she could deny him.

While everyone was figuring out some more ways to cheer Kira up, She was currently in her and Charlotte's hotel room relaxing till her phone rang. She answered it without looking at the id. "Hello?" she answered sounding mostly depressed or just overall emotionless.

"Hey Princess! How are you doing?" two voices said through the phone. Kira stayed quiet for a minute checking the caller id. "Mom? Dad?" she asked.

"Yeah its us!" they said and Kira sat up on the bed she was laying on, "What's up? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine, do you think everytime we call something is wrong?" Her mom asked. "Yeah" she replied. "Well everything is fine we are just calling to talk, and I was also curious if you met anyone.." Her dad said as her mom added towards the end.

"Uh- maybe.. but it isn't really anything. We're just friends.. I think? Honestly, I have no idea.." Kira said and heard her mom laugh through the phone, "Sounds like you like him honey. You should introduce him to us, when we come on Sunday."

"Sunday? Uh- you know It's a pay-per-view that day right?" She asked them. 

"Yeah of course! But me and your dad here want to come and watch, so we got front row tickets." Her mom said before her father added, "Your mother is just dying to see you again and I wanted to watch the dogs. But don't worry cause she is gonna let one of her friends watch them."

"Ah okay.." Kira said and she heard a knock on her door which prompted her to say goodbye to her parents since she was heading to open the door. She opened the door to see E standing outside. "E!" she shouted before giving him a large hug, "Kira!" he said hugging her back. 

"What are you doing here?" she asked him pulling away from the hug.

"Well, I got a championship match on the show to defend my title against Kevin Owens so yeah. Well that and I wanted to visit my friend." E said as Kira moved out of the door way to let her friend in. "It's good that your here cause I'm in a dilemma now."

This comment caused E to looked confused at Kira since before hand she wasn't talking to anyone and yet now she is in a dilemma. "What's up?" He asked.

"My parents is what's up. They are apparently coming on Sunday to watch me wrestle, and I somehow thought it was a good idea to tell them about Drew. Well I didn't actually say his name but just that I think we are friends. And now my mom thinks I like him and wants me to introduce him to them when they get here Sunday." She rambled to E, hoping he could maybe help her with her dilemma. 

"I mean.. it sounds like you do like him." He said which caused her to look at him, "No it does not at all.."

E just raised his hands in surrender and they dropped the conversation immediately, "So you wanna tell me why you aren't talking to anyone?" He decided it would be better to rip the 'band-aid' off and just ask her straight up cause it would be easier.

"I just didn't want anyone to worry about me I guess..." She whispered towards the end. "Kira, we were already worried when you decided it would be good to shut everyone out. Including Drew." 

"Why would Drew be worried? He doesn't even know me that well." She asked curious to know the answer from E. "He cares Kira that's why, anyone would. What's different is that he can tell when something is wrong with you in an instant while it would probably take the rest of us some time."

"He cares..?" She said as she sat down on Charlotte's bed since E was sitting on hers. "Of course he does idiot. How can you say your just friends when he doesn't see that hm? Anyone could tell that he loves you. Heck, he would probably move the earth for you to make sure you stay happy!" 

Love. There was that word that was Unfamiliar to Kira. She never experienced what it was like to be in a relationship with another person that loved and cared about her. Then suddenly tears pooled in Rivera's eyes as she tried hard not to breakdown and cry. Someone actually cared about her besides her friends and she had shut them out all because she was afraid. 

"Look, you don't have to but I think it's a good idea to introduce Drew to your parents. I'd actually think they would like him." E said gaining her attention. Kira wiped the tears before they could spill and got up to hug E. "Thanks E. I think that was the wake up call I needed." she said.

"Okay okay. Enough of this sappy talk. Let's go have fun with the others! They're playing pool in the gaming area of the hotel." This caused Kira's ears to perk up, "This hotel has a gaming area?" 

"Of course it does! Though the boys are playing pool while the girls are in the restaurant area, waiting for you." At the mention of this, Kira changed into a bit more nicer clothes wearing a white hoodie with black shorts and converse sneakers before heading downstairs with E.

Kira made her way to the restaurant area as E went to the gaming area to tell the boys of his successful intervention while leaving out the part about Drew and her parents.

"Hey girls." she said gaining the attention of Kairi, Asuka and Charlotte. "Hey, you okay now?" Charlotte asked and Kira nodded and smiled. "Yeah, E helped knock some sense into me.. and may of help me realize some stuff." This caused all 3 of them to smile before Asuka asked, "What kind of stuff?" 

"Uhm.. just that I maybe do like Drew and that he does in fact probably like me?" She said which caused the girls to squeal a little too loud. "Shush! Also.. my parents are gonna kinda be here on Sunday and they wanna meet him so I'm gonna ask him later when the boys are done playing Pool.." 

"Its happening ladies! Its happening!" Kairi said which made them all giggle.
