You woke up in the front seat and you glanced over to see Andy still driving
"You need to get some rest" you said
He's been driving nonstop for hours and he still wasn't telling you what was going on
"I'll rest when we get there" he said
"No your going to pull over and rest. Don't fight me on this" you said
"I'm a criminal I'm not just going to pull over on the side of the road for a cop to drive by and see us" he said
"Andy" you said
He sighed and turned off onto a small back road and he stopped. The headlights clicked off and he turned to look at you
"One hour. After that were on our way. We can't delay this" he said
This was an important drive he was making, he said he knows a few people that will be willing to stop what's happening. Andy wasn't the best person to society but he knew when things were going to far
What Lonny was trying to do was against a code that everyone like Andy is supposed to follow.
Kill when needed and never take on more than you need to
Which is why Andy stuck to kidnapping people and getting money for their return
But everything is different now
You sat awake while he slept, his eyes darted around under his eyelids. His dreams were bad but he never speaks on them
Even after all youve been through with him, he couldn't fully open up to you.
You started to think was all this worth it
Andy believed they just got lost along the way, that's why they switched on him. He said they were always faithful but now they wanted him gone and they turned on each other
You looked over at him and you ran your finger through his hair
"I hope your not gonna get us into more trouble" you said
When he finally woke up he didn't hesitate to get back on the road
"We should be getting close" he said
"You said that a couple hours ago" you said
He looked at you out the side of his eye and stuck your tongue out at him
"You get on my nerves" he said
"Yeah but you like it" you said
The sun started to go down once again and he pulled off onto a dirt road, it was bumpy and the car jerked around
But then he stopped and turned off his lights
"What are you doing" you asked
"Waiting" he said
"Waiting on who , this whole time I've been in the dark on all of it, who are these people" you said
"I go way back with them. They were the ones who made me who I am, my original group" he said
It was like clockwise as soon as he finished talking someone wearing all black knocked on the car window
They pointed to the distance
"Get out" he said
"Get out? Your serious" you said
"They're not going to hurt you let's go" he said
He got out first and you followed, he took your hand and walked behind the person
"Im surprised to see you, everyone said you died" they said
It sounded like a guy
"That's why I'm here, there's a whole lot of bullshit going on with my guys" andy said
He turned his head like he was glancing back
"I see you went and passed on your gene" he said
"It wasn't planned, it couldn't of happened in a more stressful time but I'm still grateful for it' Andy said
You could feel his grip tighten on your hand and when you looked up at him he glanced at you and smiled
"She better not have that baby while she's here" he said
"I wouldn't want to have it here anyways" you said
The guy led you further off the path until you made it a trailer
Once inside the guy pulled his hood down and you just looked at him
He must of known you were studying him because he looked right you
"The name's Chris, I've known your old man here for a long time" he said
"Do you know where the others are" Andy said
"They'll be here soon, I sent Ronnie out to get your men out of jail. In the meantime you should get some rest, there's a room in the back" he said looking your way
"He's right you need to lay down" Andy said
"Andy I'm fine" you said
He put his hand on your stomach and looked into your eyes
"You need all the strength you can get, I'll be back there in a bit" he said
You nodded and he kissed your forehead. As you walked away you could here them talking to each other
Maybe he didn't want you to be involved with what was about to happen. It could be for the best after all
But no matter what you made the promise to stand by him when you became his other half
