Untitled Part 4

The smile that was on Caleb’s face was gone now but I wasn’t frightened one bit. Caleb started telling the whole story this time and when he was through I couldn’t believe anything that he had just told me at all, then he got up and knelt down in front of me and said that now that the whole town knows that the descendant of his lover from a long time ago has returned they will come after me and my son very soon. Then Caleb looked over to Alex and told him that even though he was born from the same mother and a different father on the night of the full moon that’s in two days he will begin his transformation into a werewolf like every child before him and then he looked at me and said that I was what they called a banshee. A banshee’s a female spirit whose wailing warns of an impending death in a house. I stood up and grabbed my son then said all of the things he was saying was ridiculous. I was about to leave when Caleb stopped me and said that in time I would see that he was telling the truth and that they might come after us tonight. He and his son walked us to the car, Alex and Reid were talking and looked like they were becoming good friends. Caleb put his arms around my waist which I tried to get away from but he was just too strong so I just let him have his way for now. I shivered a little when I felt his breath on the back of my ear. He told me that if a lot of people come over to the house tonight, to just scream and he will come to our rescue. I blushed and then asked if we were really were meant to be together. Even though I couldn’t see his face I could tell he was smiling then he said always and forever. My son and I got into the car when Caleb said that he will not let anyone hurt us. Then we drove off. When we got to the house, Alex and I started to put some of our things back into the car we thought we were going to need if we were going to have to try and escape. It was about 11:00 at night when we were back in the car waiting to see what Caleb had told us was true.
