Andrew yawned, looking around to find Ace hunched over her paper, writing furiously. He leaned forward, whispering, "You're actually doing that?"
She blinked, sitting up and looking over at him, "I'm writing a not so formal complaint about this hellhole and that prick."
"Isn't he gonna read it once you're done?" He asked.
Ace only shook her head, sliding the paper to where he could read it.
"That's... not english..." He said eventually.
Behind them, Bender laughed, "She's only ever written things for this bull shit in Greek since Freshman year."
"Why?" Claire asked, confused.
"There's no Greek teachers here, no one can translate it back." Brain concluded.
Ace shook her head, "My brother bet me I couldn't teach myself Greek, so I learned it. I do it because I can."
"You taught yourself Greek?" Brian asked, impressed.
"Spanish was easy, Italian and French are just the same but in a different font. Latin you don't even have to learn how to speak, German and Dutch have similar roots, Svenska, that's Swedish, is like a trail off of that. Romanian was to round out the rest of eastern europe. Greek was the first one with an entirely different alphabet..." She trailed off her rambling, to look up at the others, who seemed to be gaping at her.
Her face quickly turned red, "Sorry... Languages are,,,,, my thing, I guess."
Pulling a piece of ribbon from one of her inside pockets she began to weave it through her fingers, uncomfortably.
Bender seemed to understand this, quickly standing up, and looking at Brian, "Hey homeboy, why don't you go close that door, so we can get the prom queen here, impregnated."
Brian frowned, "That's the first time she's talked and you don't care...? You just want to..."
"Yeah, well Allison hasn't talked at all, it's not high on my priority list. What'do you say? I think queenie over here might even like it." Bender jerked a thumb toward Claire.
Claire rolled her eyes, glaring at him as Andrew yelled, "Hey!"
When Bender didn't respond, he tried again, "Hey!"
"Can I help you?" Bender asked, half turning to him.
"If I lose my temper your totalled man." He threatened.
"Totally?" Bender challenged, moving toward him.
Andrew stood up, crossing his arms, "Totally."
"Please stop." Ace muttered, not looking up from the ribbon that had been fully weaved around her fingers.
Andrew looked down at her, before sitting back in his seat reluctantly, looking up to find that Bender had done the same.
"So what got you in here Sporto? Forget to wash your jock?" Bender's tone was almost conversational.
"Uh, fellas, I think we should just write our papers." Brian said carefully.
Andrew ignored him, turning in his seat to face Bender, "Listen just because you live in here doesn't give you the right to be a pain in the ass, just- knock it off!"
"It's a free country." Bender muttered.
"He's just doing it to get a rise out of you," Claire said, "Just ignore him."
Bender leaned forward in his chair, looking at her, "Sweets, you couldn't ignore me if you tried."
Claire rolled her eyes.
