"Caroline?" I call out in exasperation as I bang on her front door for the fifth time in the last half hour. "We're going to be late for school!" Still no answer. "God dammit, Caroline." I mumble to myself before deciding to go around to her back door to see if it was unlocked. "Caroline!" I shout out with a bang on the back door when I found it locked. I let out another sigh of exasperation before pulling out my phone to try and call her again, only for it to go to voicemail. A frustrated groan escaped my lips. "Fine... I'll be at school." I call out through the door. When I got there I searched the whole school, but still no sign of her and no one else seemed to have seen her either.
"Elena!" I spotted her on the other side of the hallway and had hope that she would know where I could find Caroline.
"Hey, what's up." She finally greeted me once I got closer to her.
"Have you seen Caroline? I was supposed to pick her up today, but she didn't answer her door or phone." I explain to her as I looked around to try and find her in the sea of students.
"No, Bonnie said Caroline wasn't answering her phone calls either, but I'm sure she's here somewhere." Elena assured me.
"She better be, because I cannot handle those drama filled cheerleaders all on my own." I remind her nervously remembering when Caroline was sick and half of the cheerleaders ignored all of my instructions, and the rest of them left.
"You're a cheerleader?" Stefan joined the conversation with an almost shocked look.
"Yep, co-captain and best flyer we have." Elena complimented me causing a blush to form on my cheeks.
"Well, I would love to see you perform sometime." His smile made my heart want to melt into my stomach.
"Well, you would be able to if you joined the football team." Elena brought back a conversation that they were having before I showed up with a mischievous look on her face like she was planning it. Before Stefan could retaliate the bel rang. "Well, I better get to class, be sure to at least think about it." When she left I saw the loving look on Stefan's face as he watched her leave, but his attention focused on me when he saw me staring at him with a smug look.
"Let's go." He teasingly pushed my head into the direction of our next class making me laugh. Due to the schedule today Stefan and I ended up having most of our class together. I was trying to pay attention, but I couldn't help but notice Bonnie staring at her paper with the same three numbers on it along with multiple creepy sketches.
"Bonnie" I try to get her attention but she didn't listen to me, it was as if she was in her own little world. "Earth to Bonnie, come in Bonnie" She finally Snapped out of it when I whispered a little louder earning a small glare from Mr. Tanner
"huh! What's up?" She spoke normally for a second, but quickly retracted into a whisper when she realized where she was.
"What in the hell are you doing?" Bonnie looked down at her paper with a look of concern, but fear was hidden away deep inside of her brown orbs.
"Do you know that lately when I touch someone I can see an image?" She whispered leaning in closer to me to make sure that nobody else could hear her.
"Yeah?" I remember her calling me after I got home the night of the bonfire freaked out about what happened between her and Elena.
"Well I accidentally touched Stefan the other day and saw a really dark image almost like death" My eyes widened and I switched my attention to Stefan who was sitting on the other side of me to make sure he didn't here us before tuning back to Bonnie.
"What do they mean?" I ask hoping that this was all just because she was drunk or her Grams stories were getting to her.
"I have no idea, but now I can't get three numbers out of my head and whatever they mean, they mean something bad." I looked at her paper again to see three numbers 8, 14, and 22 written several times on the one piece of paper.
