I knew that Erica would be gone for a while, James would be sleeping, and Leah would be stealing souls, so I decided to do something productive. I began to build a forgery, a place where I could begin to create weapons for us.
I had already found a good abandoned building, and was creating a fire pit when James walked in.
" So let's see if I understand this, they took away your Angelic Power and your Grace. Yet, all you did was save your soul mate? Disgusting." I whirled around to look at him.
"You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't deserve to become a fallen, so why didn't you fight?" He asked me.
"I had already been deranked once from my most prided place, God's right hand. What would the point have been,? The only thing left would've been a guardian angel, the lowest rank, and that's practically a fallen. It wouldn't have done any good." I turn back to creating the fire pit and he steps up beside me helping.
"I fought them. I didn't deserve to fall and I knew that so I defied them. I tore a chunk out of Danielle's wings, she's probably planning my demise as we speak.."
After we get done with the pot I turn to him.
"Pull your shirt off and unfurl your wings. You need to let me get them out." He's groans and does as I ask, once his back is facing me I snap his wings. He screams out then grits his teeth as I begin to rip them out.
"I'm sorry." I say once I get down to the bases and rip them out as well. I grab some gauze, tape and alcohol and cover his wounds.
I then place the pieces against the wall furthest from sunlight and continue to build.
