I started to feel heavier and heavier.
I felt like I was going to fall.
I started to hear noises.
It almost sounded like... Like gravel was being kicked and water was pouring down to the ground.
It seemed so strange... Being half awake and half 'dead'.
Suddenly light started to appear in front of me. I started to feel warm as the light shined on me.
"She's waking up!" said a squeaky voice.
"Look mum!" said a happy and girly voice. My eyes shot open. I layed on the gravel that I heard being kicked when I was in the weird state of living and dying. I turned my head in different directions to see where I was. On my left there was a big and beautiful forest with lots of paths. There also was a beautiful river that went straight into the forest. Next to the forest was a small cottage which looked like a small café. I turned my head to the right and saw lots of houses in many different colours.
"Are you okay?" asked the squeaky voice.
I completely ignored the question and slowly sat up. Right in front of me there was a big building, it looked like some sort of Town Hall. I shifted my position with my back at the Town Hall. To my surprise there was a big market full of people. I was in complete shock. Turning my head slowly to the voices I heard before, I stared at them while focusing deeply on their facial features.
"We are so glad you're awake Lucy!" said a woman with lightbrown, straight and short hair. The squeaky voice belonged to her. The woman had grey eyes and some wrinkles on her face when she smiled at me.
"Yeah we missed you!" squeaked a little girl with blonde hair to her shoulders. The girl had big, brown eyes that stared at me. She was the happy and girly voice I heard earlier.
"Glad you're back honey." said an unfamiliar voice. The voice came from behind me, so I turned around and saw a man with brown and short hair. He had brown eyes, just like the little girl.
"W-Where was I?" I asked, completely confused of what they we're taling about. Wasn't I just having a weird dream or something?
"Lucy, you we're in a coma." said the man as he sadly smiled at me.
I was more shocked than ever. How? Really? Why am I then here, outside, in the big open circle around everything?
"Then why the hell am I here in this big open circle of gravel where everybody can see me lying half dead!?"
I was getting really annoyed at the thought of them just leaving me to lie there till I wake up. What kind of sick people is this?
"We just found you lying here for no reason. We have never even seen you around here." said the woman and looked at the man unsurely.
"How the hell do you know my name then?"
"Oh yes. We found a paper lying next to you with your personal information." answered the man.
"Dad. Let me handle this. Please?" the little girl said pleadingly while she looked up to the man that apparently was her dad. The man nodded at the little girl and she turned her gaze to me.
"I'm Claire. Claire Shepherd. And this is my mum, Lily, and of course my dad, Tom."
I stared at them without an expression.
"Do you remember anything about yourself and your past?" Claire asked and stared at me worried.
My past? I can't seem to remember anything about that. Myself...
"Well... I'm Lucy, and I am 21 years old..." I was thinking very hard but couldn't seem to find any more information about myself.
"I-Uh can't remember anything else right now..." I smiled sadly at them.
