Possible Kidnapping

Details of Event:

While working with Ofc. R. Johnson as D#232, we received a call from Dispatcher S. Westman to North Hale St. for a possible kidnapping. Dispatcher S. Westman indicated that victim was a minor with whereabouts unknown. We arrived at the scene at approximately 3:06 A.M. My partner and I approached the house and knocked on the door to which the complainant, Richard A. Reeves, answers. My partner interviews the parents separately while I interview Samantha Weller. Afterward we proceed to Laurel Reeves' room to look for evidence, room did not have any immediately evident clues, we sectioned the room and called for team to investigate. We then called for Samantha Weller's parents to come pick Samantha up. We then took Mr. and Mrs. Reeves' to the police station for further questioning.

Actions Taken: Parents Richard and Luanne Reeves are taken in for questioning on 3/14/06 released same day. Witness Samantha Weller also interviewed. Official search party begins search on 3/17/06. Official search party search ends 4/02/06. Unofficial search party continues.*

Dispatcher Samuel H. Westman: 911 what's your emergency?

Richard A. Reeves: My daughters gone someones taken her, I don't know where she is!

Dispatcher: Okay sir calm down, what is your address?

Reeves: 404 West Hale Street

Dispatcher:We are sending someone over now. Until they get there will you answer some questions?

Reeves: Okay, but please hurry.

Dispatcher: Thank you sir, what is you full name?

Reeves: Richard Allen Reeves

Dispatcher: Richard what is your daughters name?

Reeves: Laurel Ann Reeves

Dispacther: Okay, how old is she?

Reeves: Seven years old

Dispatcher:When was the last time you saw her?

Reeves: My wife checked on them at eleven. She told me they were asleep.

Dispatcher: Can I speak to your wife?

(Inaudible)

Reeves: No, my wife is outside looking for Laurel.

Dispatcher: What was your daughter wearing last time you saw her?

Reeves: I think she was wearing pink pajamas with Cinderella on them.

Reeves: Will the police be here soon?

Dispatcher: Yes they should be there very soon sir.

Dispatcher: Are there any windows or doors open?

Reeves: My daughters window is open.

Dispatcher: How tall is she?

Reeves: About 4'3

Dispatcher: Okay and what does she weigh?

Richard: Uhh I think about forty-eight pounds.

Reeves: Oh god, where is she?

(Crying)

Dispatcher: The police should be there now sir.

Reeves: I see them.

Dispatcher: I want you to go outside and talk to them, okay sir?

Reeves: Okay
