CHAPTER IV

⚪CHAPTER IV: The Date⚪

"Ate?" Yanne came knocking behind my door again.

"Ano?!" Masyado akong sensitive at hindi naiwasan na mapagbuntungan siya ng inis.

"Don't be mad at me. Can I come in?"

"Hm.. " I just murmured, signalling yes.

"Ayos na ba ang pakiramdam mo?" tanong niya pagkapasok.

"Ayos na ako kanina, sa mga sinabi ni daddy parang bumalik na naman ang sakit ng ulo ko," sabi ko habang inaayos ang bookshelf ko.

"Sorry, ate.. Truth is dad planned it long ago but he has been considerate after what happened to you," she started to explain.

I love how she tries to fix things, not just for herself, but for the family. She has always been like that even before when our parents hated me for what happened to Liam. She stood beside me in tough times.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Mas maaga ko sanang sasabihin sayo but I can't find the timing. He asked me if I want to date Nathan instead. But I refused and told him I will talk to you about this first.."

I finished what I am doing and sat in front of her. I sighed before starting. "It's not that I'm against it. Maybe, I am just surprised and maybe angry that he still continued the plan. I actually knew it before."

I heard him talking with mom, I don't remember when. Probably bago ako na-coma?

"Even I have no idea, though. But I think you and Nathan will make a cute couple." Nag-uumpisa na naman ang kaniyang kaharutan. That bubbly side her that I love.

"Ano na namang kalokohan yan?"

"Kasi diba ate! Biruin mo 'yon? Sa dinami-dami ng place na pwede mong puntahan, doon pa kung nasaan siya at kailan naroon din siya. He even saved you from satan." Mahabang page-explain niya with matching hand gestures.

"I'm very thankful for that coincidence and the fact that he saved me. Natigok siguro ako nang hindi man lang naaayos ang relasyon namin nila mommy at daddy if it wasn't because of him." I really hate to think about that moment. Nagsisisi ako sa plinano kong gawin sa sarili.

"That's what I'm talking about. You're destined to be together. Besides, you'll start dating lang naman then siguro engagement announcement after? I don't think the wedding will be too soon."

"How can you say so?"

"I asked them earlier. Hindi naman ako pupunta dito nang walang dalang good news. You'll spit fire on me, for sure."

"No, I won't."

I looked closely at myself through the full-length mirror.

Napa-ligo na naman ako dahil sa sinabi ni Liyanne bago umalis kanina, "and by the way, fix yourself. You have a date."

I am wearing long-sleeved off-shoulder dress. Kulay krema ito at medyo may kahabaan. I also wore a matching sandals, grabbed my pouch then ready to go.
