abbey and aaron slowly looked at each other with a panicked look on their faces.
"ok...we just...stay calm."
"yeah. just stay calm."
as they keep on with their drawings after they turn off the tv, around 2-3 seconds later they here rick and linda yell in unison, "WHAT?!"
they run to living room and find everyone (except them obviously🙄) staring at the tv screen with the same expression they were making when they first heard the news.
abbey's phone rings. she answers and everyone faintly hears her mother say:
"ABBEY?! ARE YOU OKAY?!? PLEASE COME HOME RIGHT NOW!!"
she trys to say something back but her mom hangs up too fast.
"guys, i gotta go. nice seeing you aaron."
"you too. i-"
before aaron can finish, abbey suddenly gives him and humongus hug, and when she looks up, she kisses him and runs out the door.
aaron slowly glances behind him and sees katie trying to hold in her laugh, rick grinning, and linda with her mouth hanging open.
the next day he gets a text from abbey, and before he even reads it, he feels his face get hot remembering what happened last night. he opens it and it says:
"hey, i think i might be sick. i have a fever and a cough, but i dont know. i dont feel sick, i just dont know whether i am or not. so i dont think ill visit you again this weekend, just to play it safe. sorry this turned into a paragraph lol"
aarons eyes widen as he reads. he looks up the new disease that had been announced yesterday, and the symptoms you start off with didnt look very similar, so he calmed down a little and replied back with:
"okay. stay safe. it IS almost summer break, just one more week of school. we can see each other then. get better soon :)"
he sighs and hits send. "i hope shes ok."
