Caprisun

Bucky woke up at six in the morning.

The bed that he slept on had always felt wrong. Too soft.

But now that Sofi was back, it was also too big.

The soldier rolled over, staring out the window. The soft rays of the morning light filtered through the curtains, shining warmly on his face. A gentle breeze blew through the window, cracked open barely an inch.

Bucky couldn't stop thinking of Sofi.

He thought of her face when he'd showed her his memories, that confused, yet entranced expression on her features. Or that blank look when she'd told him that his sister was dead.

A shrill shriek from a bird that flew straight into the window with a dull thump scattered his thoughts before he could finish, but he didn't bother to piece them back together. A plan had already been formulated in his mind.

Standing up, Bucky changed into a fresh set of clothes before heading over to the prison cell once more.

The chances of Sofi being awake were slim, but that was fine by him. He just needed to see her again. To confirm that her presence had not simply been a dream, before Bucky would head over to train, and then talk to Tony or Steve about getting Sofi's mind control undone.

But, as Bucky pushed through the doors, his heart dropped.

He stared at Sofi's cell.

Inside was Sofi and Loki. Or at least an illusion of him. Sofi's body was so comfortably entangled in Loki's. A bed had seemingly been enchanted and atop it lay the two. A satin blanket fell over the two of them, but it was visible from beneath that Sofi had fallen asleep with one of her hands resting on Loki's chest, one of her legs wrapped around his.

Sofi stirred softly as Bucky neared but she didn't open her eyes, only furrowing deeper into Loki's body.

Bucky remembered how Sofi had always been cold, a strange phenomenon that caused her to wear hoodies even in the heat of the summer.

But seeing Sofi sleeping with Loki instead of him gave Bucky a huge pit at the bottom of his stomach.

He turned to look at Loki's cell, where the real Loki slept, in the exact same position as his doppelganger. A small smile was on his face, making Bucky even angrier.

This had to be another one of the god's ploys.

Bucky, infuriated, ran up to Tony's room and burst through, not caring that Tony had not been awake.

"Tony! I have to talk to you."

"Go away, Manchurian Candidate," Tony mumbled into his pillow, turning his back to Bucky.

"It's about Sofi!"

"Who?"

Bucky sighed, "The HYDRA prisoner?"

"Oh, the siphoner? Caprisun?"

"What?" Bucky looked at Tony, confused.

"You know, like one of those little juice boxes. She's one of the straws. Sucks all the juice right out of you."

Bucky ignored the nickname. If Tony was awake enough to come up with another name for Sofi, it meant he was also awake enough to hear Bucky out.

"Sofi's under mind control, just like I was," The soldier urgently explained to Tony, "We need to get her out of it."

Tony rolled over to face him.

"JARVIS, set a reminder."

"Right away, sir," JARVIS said over the speakers. "Would you like it before or after your coffee with Ms. Potts."
