CHAPTER EIGHT ❛ mail day ❜
PREVIOUSLY, AT CAMP NIGHTWING, Nick Goode has never had a detrimental, or adolescent roommate before now. And although he is aware of Billie's tendencies to crack an immature comment, stooping as low as wrapping his entire side of the cabin in plastic wrap, was not on his expectation list that he had mentally written, the moment he had told her they were going to be roommates.
So opening his cabin door, at 9:48 pm, on a warm night, the air still tinted with his team's victory, and finding exactly that, was a shock to the system.
Billie heard the creak of the door, and the handle hitting the wall after Nick's sudden aggressive fling to the side. She peeked her head so her eyes could see inside, careful not to expose her whereabouts. But the wide eyes and open mouth repulsed expression was totally worth the risk of being seen.
