Perhaps my plan of seduction was going to fail.

How was I supposed to seduce my husband in one night if I haven't been able to do it in two months? I mean, I'm nearly certain I tried this before. I must have. With a husband like Aaron, how could I not have tried this before?

All these doubts were telling me that my plan was doomed to fail even before it actually started. So instead of going all out I simply changed into a more comfortable pair of shorts and a plain blouse. Fuller and Rita set our dinner in the small table for two inside our bedroom.

The bedroom itself was pretty big. No wonder it was the master room. It had a small resting area consisting of a small couch and two cushion chair with a coffee table in the middle. In that same area was where the table for two was set. Where we were going to have dinner. That area then led to the main area, which consisted of the bed, the night stands and everything any other bedroom had. Adding another cushion chair and a table a few feet away from the bed.

"Everything's ready, ma'am." Rita informed as I came back to the real world and stared at their master piece. It was so romantically cliché I wanted to laugh. I loved it.

"Thank you."

"Should we inform Mr. Scarlatti or would you like to do it yourself?" This time it was Fuller who asked.

"I'll let him know." they bowed and walked out of the room. I stayed behind to take deep breaths and try to calm my nerves.

Aaron was practically a stranger to me. A very good looking one and to whom I was married.

From what he told me, our marriage isn't the best one. But we were trying to get along. Now he seemed to really want to go through it. Perhaps me being in the hospital scared him. For whatever reason he was changing his attitude towards me, I accepted it.

Taking a deep breath I walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs. The house was so quiet but not in an eerie way. Just as I reached the study I heard angry shouts. Female shouts. Then a very calm voice trying to reason. A very loud crash made me jump and then Laurel was walking out of the study looking beyond pissed.

"This is all your fault! Why couldn't you have let that man stab me instead? I could've gotten rid of this thing already!" she said the last pointing at the slight bulge of stomach. Then stomped away leaving me shocked. She didn't want her baby.

"I'm sorry about that." Aaron came out of the study closing the door behind him. "She's just upset."

"Laurel," I blinked several times, shaking my head as if to make the shock scatter. "She doesn't want her baby."

"I don't think she knows what she wants. Laurel's scared and feels tied down. She'll learn to love her child, eventually."

We walked in silence after that. It wasn't really uncomfortable, it was just me being anxious. What surprise did Aaron have for me? And would I get a kiss? Will he hold me as we sleep?

"What did your friend wanted? I'd never seen her before." Aaron asked as we reached the door to our bedroom and walked inside.

"She came to visit. I'm not sure how she found out where we lived. I don't recall having contact with her. Probably my mother told her. Anyways, she came to see how I was doing." I smiled as he pulled out the chair for me to sit.

"That's very considerate of her." he commented, even though he didn't seem to actually mean it, then sat down across from me. Not breaking eye contact with me he poured the drinks seeing as I couldn't take alcohol at the moment.

"It was actually to get something to gossip about tomorrow at brunch and to show off her engagement ring and to try and make me feel jealous that she married Carter. To see how I lived and to invite us to a small reunion she's going to have. She'll send the invitation in a few weeks or days, of course." I took a bite of my dinner after finishing explaining Angela's visit.
