The rain poured down on you. Your hair wet, stuck to your back. Your clothes are soggy and cold. You had tears streaming down your face. John Lennon, your boyfriend of two years, had cheated on you. He tried. He really tried. But he couldn't win you back.

So you left the Cavern Club. And had to deal with the rain, and the 25 mile walk to your house. "Y/N!" a familiar voice calls. You turn around, seeing Ringo. He stopped running when he got to you. Ringo smiles, weakly. You look at the ground, tears still falling.

Ringo lifts your head with his hand. "Listen. I'm not here for John. I'm here for you. He didn't send me. I sent myself." Ringo says, crushing your suspicions that John sent Ringo. Ringo's ocean blue eyes stare into yours.

"Why?" you croak out. Ringo looks down, his hair sticking to his head. "Because. I had to." Ringo says, looking back up. You smile a bit. "Come on, let's go to my house. It's closer." Ringo says, leading the way.

Ringo opens the front door to his house. "Mum and Dad are away tonight. I think to some dinner party with friends." Ringo says, slightly embarrassed. Maybe it's the fact that he's 19 and lives with his parents.

His house is warm and inviting. You walk over to a picture, and there's Ringo, his Mum, and his....Dad? "Hey, Ringo. Your dad looks nothing like you." you say, pointing at the picture. "Oh. That's because he's my stepdad." he says, looking at you.

You try stuttering a sorry. Ringo walks over to you and grabs your hands. "It's ok, Y/N." he says, staring at your lips. You catch this. You tilt your head to the right, and stare into his eyes. Ringo takes you chin his his hand, and kisses you.

And it felt as if all the troubles in your life, had been washed away. By rain.
