Sophie had just finished talking with Fitz, and now she was trying to find Keefe. But, it was turning out to be a lot more difficult than she had originally planned on. How big was Everglen exactly? Sophie wasn't sure. Although she would venture far enough to say that she could spend night and day for an entire year here exploring, and still not see the whole place.

She was trying her luck outside because that is where she thought she might have the best chance of finding Keefe, and when she heard something coming from the other side of a row of tall hedges, she made her way around. When she peeked around the corner, she saw nothing. A pang of disappointment went through her. Sophie was wondering if she might have to call off the search tonight and try her luck in the morning. She sighed and turned around, bumping into yet another figure.

"Again?" Sophie asked no one in particular.

Sophie expected the other person to start busting out apologies, or at least yell at her. To her surprise she heard laughter. As she looked up to see who she had run into this time, the scent of ogre gave them away.

"Ro!" Sophie exclaimed, surprised to see her, but also kinda really glad. Here was a sure way to get a message to Keefe without wandering around for the next 100 years!

"Man, you get clumsier every day," Ro joked.

Usually this would get under Sophie's skin, but for now she let it slide. "Have you seen Keefe?"

Ro was brushing herself off, but then stopped and looked at Sophie. "Why?"

"I need to talk to him. It's... I haven't been able to find him, and at this rate, I would probably have better luck finding out Glimmer's true identity than finding Keefe."

Ro grinned at that. "Interesting comparison there Blondie. Tell you what, you head over to the fake lake, and I'll send Keefe that way when I see him soon. And I can guarantee that because when I track someone, I find them! Especially someone who I've had to live with for the past few years!" Ro said as she barked out another laugh.

"Sounds good, but...." Sophie replied, but her voice trailed off once she realized something.

Ro tilted her head, a small frown upon her face. "Aw, don't tell me you're getting cold feet!" she whined.

"No! I'm not. I just, wait what do you mean by cold feet?" Sophie asked, once she realized what Ro had said. Gah! How did Ro know that Sophie was planning on confessing? Sophie swore that Ro had a mother's intuition. Who knew how long though it would be before she had children of her own, if ever? After all, even though she was married to Bo, that didn't mean that they would ever get together like that! Maybe she could babysit Sophie and Keefe's-

Sophie cut that thought off immediately, and her face was very hot. Why am I thinking so far ahead? I haven't even talked to Keefe yet, and yet I'm planning a future? OK, I am officially weird tonight. Maybe tomorrow I'll be back to normal, Sophie silently begged the universe.

Ro said something, but Sophie didn't catch it. "I'm sorry, I wasn't listening. Would you repeat that?" Sophie apologized.

Ro facepalmed herself, and said some very creative words in her native tongue that Sophie could just make out thanks to her being a Polygot. Sometimes Sophie wished she could shut off her Polygot talent like she could with her enhancing.

"I said," Ro grumbled, "you need to seriously figure some things out. But no! Oblivious! I swear if I was evil, I would already say something and get this all over with!"

Sophie now had a better idea of what she was talking about. But she wasn't about to say anything. Let Ro figure it out. Well, maybe Ro was talking about what she thought she was, but Sophie kinda wanted to check because these kinds of things if misunderstood could lead to a whole bunch of awkwardness down the road.
