Chapter Three

I wandered around the sky deck, taking in the lavish interior. There was everything from a huge pool and spa to a French looking cafe and a pharmacy. They even had a small doctors office on board for emergencies.

I made my way towards the side of the boat and climbed onto a platform to get a better look. If I'd leaned slightly too far I would have toppled over and into the water, so I quickly jumped down and vowed to never do that again. Going overboard would be so bad, left floating in the middle of the ocean with who knows what kind of creatures swimming around my feet. I shuddered and hurried towards the elevator, more than ready to be away from the only open place on the boat.

My phone weaseled out of my pocket and I checked the time. I had ten minutes before I was expected back at the room, although mum had said something about being 'dressed and ready' by seven, so I got off the elevator and strolled down to the room Hunter and I had to share. If I was meant to look presentable, it probably meant they were taking us to one of the fancier restaurants on board. I groaned at the thought of having caviar and other rich people food, I'd much prefer a burger or even a toasty.

I slipped into the room and closed the door behind me. Hunter wasn't back from his roam of the boat, he would have been stuck outside anyway seeing as I was the only one with a key, so I didn't have to worry about locking myself in the bathroom to get changed. I rifled through my suitcase and pulled out a pair of closed-toe wedges and a collared top with a floral pocket. My skinny jeans went with everything, so I didn't bother exchanging them for anything. I kicked off my converse and slipped the wedges on, then pulled my jumper off and replaced it with the gentle fabric of the top I'd picked out. A quick glance in the mirror assured me I didn't need to do anything to my black locks, so I gently ran my fingers through the thickness and left it to flow down my back.

"Kendall?" I heard Hunter call through the door, then the handle turned and he stepped into the room, a little surprised.

"You're back- why do you look all girly?" Hunter asked, arching an eyebrow.

"Maybe because I'm a girl," I retorted, rolling my eyes and slipping the room key back into my pocket from where I'd left it on my bed.

"Brilliant you're both here, oh Kendall darling you look lovely," mum gushed, appearing in the doorway in a knee-length cream dress with a shawl over her shoulders.

I was suddenly glad I'd put on a more dressy top, wherever we were going my scruffy green jumper wouldn't have boded well.

"Let's go," dad said, ushering Hunter and I into the hall.

He was dressed not too similar to me with dark jeans and a dress top. I smirked at him and he looked at me, the same thought seeming to cross his mind.

"Great minds think alike right Kendall," he chuckled, throwing an arm over my shoulder.

"Sure dad," I laughed, pulling the door closed and locking it before strolling to the elevator with my family.

*Niall's P.O.V*

Louis threw his head back and laughed loudly at the joke I just cracked, and Harry buried his head in his hands, laughing more quietly. I smirked at the two of them, pleased with myself.

"That's brilliant Niall," Louis finally said, wiping at his eyes and clasping his hands on the table.

We were sitting in a secluded booth at the back of the more upper class restaurant of the boat, because it was less likely to be spotted and recognized there. We were up to our mains and I'd started cracking jokes as we waited for them to brought out to us.

"You know, if this music thing ever goes flop, you've always got being a comedian up your sleeve," Harry chuckled, taking a sip from his half-empty bottle of cider.

Louis and I joined in the laughing with Harry when a gentle tingling captured my attention.

"No way," I breathed, my eyes running over the four people that walked into the restaurant.

It was her, the girl with the blue eyes. She was gorgeous, and she looked even more so tonight. My palms clammed up and I looked back at Louis and Harry, hoping they hadn't noticed my attention change, which they had.

"Who is she?" Louis asked, not taking his eyes off the girl as she took a seat with her family a few feet away.

"Who's who?"

"Don't play dumb with me Nialler, you're practically drooling," Louis said.

"Am not," I said defensively, wiping at my chin.

Louis and Harry laughed, quite loudly I might add, and the girl turned and my heart stuttered. I really had to talk to her, find out who she was. A small smile crept onto her glossy lips before she turned back to her family.

I couldn't help but smile, and I scooted to the edge of the booth and was about to walk over to her table when the waiter finally brought our meals over.

"Damn," I muttered under my breath.

"You've still got six days to talk to her," Harry reminded me, digging messily into his steak.

Louis swatted his arm and Harry rolled his eyes but used his cutlery more gracefully, much to Lou's approval. They really were a sweet couple, and as I stole another glance at the blue eyed girl, I realized Harry was right. I still had six days to bump into her, and I planned on doing it sooner rather than later.

*Harry's P.O.V*

Lou and I said our good nights to Niall before slipping into our room. I did feel a little bad making Niall room by himself, but getting alone time with Louis was a rare occasion that needed to be jumped on, otherwise it disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"This is so nice," Louis sighed, flopping back onto the bed.

"Yeah it is," I agreed, kicking off my dress shoes and draping my blazer over the back of the love seat that was pressed against the Eastern wall.

"I really wish we could spend more time together, alone," Louis admitted, sitting back up.

I stepped closer to him and stood in the gap between his legs, my hands resting on his shoulders. He smiled up at me and my heart accelerated. God he was gorgeous.

"Me too babe, but let's just think about now. We have a whole week basically to ourselves," I purred, linking my hands together around Louis's neck.

"You know, I think I'm coming down with something. You might have to stay in here all day with me tomorrow to look after me," Louis said with a wink.

I chuckled and leaned down to brush my nose against his.

"I love you Lou," I whispered.

"Good. I love you too," he grinned, and wrapped his hands around my waist, pulling me forwards so we were lying on the bed, me propped on my elbows above my beautiful boyfriend.

I ran my fingers through his hair and brushed a few wisps from his forehead before capturing his lips with mine. They were a wonderful combination of soft and rough, and he tasted like chocolate and raspberries.

"You taste good," I chuckled, lightly kissing along his jaw.

"So do you, like chocolate and raspberries. My favourite," Louis murmured.

I ran my lips across his cheek and pressed them back to his. Lou's hands wove themselves into my hair, pulling me closer and deepening the kiss.
