I screeched as Zayn sloshed steaming water onto the already damaged floorboards in the kitchen. Both of us jumped out of the way and he put the half empty pot back on the bench.

"Crap, I'll go get some towels," he said, hurrying out of the kitchen and off down the hall.

I propped myself up on the marble counter so the water wouldn't get my feet, and I let out a deep sigh. The only bad thing about being left alone was the fact that Zayn and I were both terrible cooks and had no idea what to do in a kitchen. Louis and Harry were always in charge of cooking, so them being out of the house meant any meal was either a disaster or take-out.

My heart swelled slightly when the gorgeous, dark haired lad came back into the room, a collection of towels in his hands. He dropped them onto the floor to mop up the mess he made.

"You want a hand?" I offered, not really wanting to move from my post on the counter because I had a beautiful view of him.

"It's fine, I'll just leave the towels there and they can soak up the water," Zayn said, spreading the towels across the sopping kitchen floor.

He looked at me and smirked.

"Want a hand down?" he asked cheekily.

"Sure," I said, much to his surprise.

The O formation of his mouth quickly turned back to a smile as he hooked his hands under my legs and carried me bridal style from the kitchen and through to the living room.

"Where do you want to go, my lady?" Zayn asked, looking down at me with gentle eyes.

"My bedroom, fine sir," I replied, hooking my hands around his neck and returning his smile.

Zayn nodded and carefully carried me up the stairs, his smile never fading. He walked me through to my bedroom and settled me on the big bed. We looked at each other for a long time, my heart hammering and my bottom lip caught under my teeth.

"I love you Li," Zayn finally said, kicking off his shoes and slowly crawling onto my bed.

My hands linked with his and I ran my thumbs in small circles over the backs of his strong hands which made his lips twitch and pull into the lopsided smile that melted my heart.

"I love you too Zayn," I whispered, smiling as his lips spread into a grin.

I rolled the sleeves of my creamy dress shirt up to my elbows before fixing my hair in the bathroom mirror. My blue eyes were wild with excitement, because all I could think was, what if the blue eyed girl's there?

A knocking on the door pulled me away from delving deeper into my thoughts. I checked through the peep hole and grinned, swinging the door open.

"You guys look bloody brilliant," I said, ushering Harry and Louis into the room I was staying in.

They were wearing the same shirts but in different colours, the one Louis was wearing was a pale white while Harry's was a rich black. Both had the sleeves rolled to the elbows like me, and there were tips around the collar's of their shirts that were the polar opposite colour to the shirt itself. They looked great, but then again when didn't they?

"Thanks Nialler, you look absolutely lovely! If you bump into that girl, you're going to absolutely sweep her off her feet," Louis gushed, making a rosy pink flare up in my cheeks.

"Come on let's go, I'm so ready for a drink," I laughed, grabbing my phone and room key, then walking out into the hall with two of my best mates.

*Kendall's P.O.V*

"Come on, please! I really want to come!" Hunter said as I slipped my phone and room key into my clutch purse.

"No, Hunter, it's too grown up for you," I argued, slipping into my wedges and grabbing a cardigan in case it was cold on the sky deck.

"I'll tell mum and dad," he grumbled.

"I'm old enough to go, and besides the worst that could happen is that I get completely drunk and fall asleep in the hot tub, which would never happen because I don't like alcohol. Go ahead and tell them, but you'd be the one to get in trouble for waking them up to tell them their daughter went somewhere she was old enough to be," I said sternly, glaring at him.

"Fine, but I'm not covering for you," he muttered.

"Didn't ask you to. Goodnight Hunter," I nodded, then slipped into the hall.

It was deathly quiet, then again it was nearly midnight. The elevator doors slid open with a gentle ping and I stepped inside and waited the short trip up to the sky deck. I heard the party before I saw it, the pounding music and loud voices and laughter. Stepping onto the sky deck, my eyes grew wide at the sight. There would have been a couple of hundred people thrashing their bodies around to the music under the fairy lights that had been hung around the metal railings on the side of the boat. It looked amazing, and with a smile I skirted around the throngs of people towards the make-shift bar.

"What can I get you love?" the bartender called over the pumping music.

"An orange juice, please," I said.

I turned to scan the large group of people, looking for a certain three in particular. My heart lurched and my stomach dropped when I saw the three of them, standing on the platform on the edge of the boat I'd stood on and freaked myseld out with. The blonde one, Niall, was dancing to the music, his drink sloshing all over the place, and Louis and Harry were laughing at him.

He was obviously drunk, all three of them were, and they were dangerously close to the edge of the boat, especially with the wind picking up. I hurried away from the bar, momentarily forgetting my waiting orange juice, to advise the guys to get off the platform.

"Guys, you should-"

I cut myself off with a gasp as Niall tripped and disappeared from view.

"Niall!" Harry screamed.

Without hesitation, he jumped off the boat to save his drunk friend, forgetting that he himself was more than a little tipsy.

"Oh my god," I gasped, hurrying closer.

"Harry!" Louis yelped, and threw himself overboard.

I stared, dumbfounded, at where the three drunk popstars had just stood. In a panic, I looked around for a lifesaver or something of the sort to throw down to them, but there was nothing. That was when I spotted an inflatable life boat under the platform. I grabbed it and clambered onto the platform a little awkwardly in my tall heels, but I didn't worry about spraining an ankle, all that mattered was getting the life boat to the boys.

I leaned slightly, but before I had the chance to let the life boat go, a gust of wind caught it, tipping me off the boat and sending me toppling in after the boys.
