He lied on his back and just stayed there, motionless.
What was wrong?
I ran up to him that instant, but the assassin just saw that as an opportunity. She shot herself up and hacked the scythe at him.
Luckily, I had enough time to form the barrier between me and her blade. I could hear Yuuri running towards us, but I felt my knees weaken each moment she got closer.
I was so exhausted that I kept going in and out of my consciousness since earlier and she just looked excited, pushing her scythe further.
I won't get defeated!
I tried to encourage myself but the moment she smiled; I knew I was done for. A strong gust pushed up from below me hitting me right in the jaw, losing my focus, and subsequently shattering my barrier, which was my only defense against her.
I instantly felt cold.
I knew I messed up.
She buried her scythe deep in my right shoulder.
I felt numb and my last memory was her jumping away from me painfully pulling out her weapon drenched in my blood.
"Yuuri...", I nudged her head resting beside me. Waking up in a room all painted white made me worry for a moment. Yuuri was there, Hyuk was in the far corner of the room, but the pain deep in my shoulder blade and from the needles attached to my left hand made me realize that this was a hospital, I was still alive.
She slowly moved, turning her eyes toward me, opening them slightly.
Right then she stood up, eyes wide and mouth open in shock.
"Himura!" Ichinose threw the things she was carrying on the table and ran straight up to me, hugging the oxygen out.
"Ow!" I cried in pain.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your bad shoulder."
"Ken!" Hyuk was awake as well. He ran up to me and kept mumbling a lot of questions like how I felt, was I alright, or did I remember anything, things like that. He was restless running his hands over his head and on my good shoulder checking If I was still, well, me.
We then fell silent when we heard her sob.
Yuuri was crying her eyes out when she decided to lay herself on my chest for quite an awkward hug, "I'm really sorry, Ken. I didn't mean for this to happen." She said between sobs.
"It's okay. I'm fine now." I reassured her. "How long was I out? You're all here, everything turned out well?"
"Around two days. We all stayed here." Hyuk.
"How many days do I have left with you, Yuuri?"
She looked surprised, "What do you mean?"
"I was so worked up that you said you were leaving. I don't want you to go, honestly."
