The rock shell cracked open upon impact sending the faint light of the afternoon inside. Dust swirled around me making me feel dizzy even more. I got up, kicking dust off and getting ready to run back but then, strong hands held me back.
"Reiko!" Ken was puzzled seeing me.
"Yuuri is in danger!" It didn't even take us a second to get into an understanding. He moved fast almost dragging me from where I was batted off.
I know that I said I didn't want to do this, but Yuuri sent me off just like that, practically making me abandon her. I'm not going to let her do that, I need to help, and I can't let that vision happen, they should never take Yuuri!
"Reiko!" Ken shouted at me.
"Straight ahead!" I answered. The three of us hopped over dislodged boulders on the school field. This is where I was just with Yuuri moments ago. The rock pedestal was still here and the stone pillar still jutted out at an awkward angle.
"What the hell is this?" Ken threw me a confused look referring to the broken limbs scattered all over the field.
"Zombies!"
"What?" Who couldn't get more confused?
Then a loud explosion took our attention. To the far end of the building was Jin, in his all-metal build, flying out the walls.
"Shiny Man!?" Ken ran to his side only to be greeted by that Miyu.
"Oh?" She looked confused at first but without wasting any second, she drove her sword towards Ken.
Ken would've been impaled if it weren't for Jin, he slapped that sword away with his metal arm and then threw himself to tackle Miyu to the ground.
"Was she responsible for these guys?" Hyuk startled me.
"Yes, she was the one controlling them."
Hyuk nodded at me and then shouted to the other boys, "Ken! She's gifted!"
Ken took note of that and immediately gestured towards her, which seemed to work for his movements and Miyu's were totally in sync. He was puppeteering her away from Jin.
"Where's Yuuri?" Hyuk was restless trying to find Yuuri with his eyes.
"I don't know, I was sent flying before I saw what happened."
He then pulled me behind a boulder, "Where staying here. Let me think about what to do."
I didn't feel safe.
As much as I wanted to assure myself that Yuuri could handle this, I'm really scared, and letting Hyuk tell me what to do did not make it better.
I looked over the boulder to witness Ken flailing his arms and landing on his stomach just a couple of feet from where we were. Jin was hand-to-hand with her but his punches were no match to Miyu's flurry of blows, with her getting a clear hit at his stomach.
"You're too loud!" Hyuk suddenly burst.
"What!?"
