This book delves more into Archer's tragic past. It will also hint at why he got married Rosalia in the first place. As talked about in the books description, there is disability in this book if this triggers or disturbs you kindly restrain yourself and don't read this book because I do not want to be the reason you get hurt or fall into a psychotic episode. This book further contains scenes related to rape and violence. Just a warning ⚠️ for all those triggered by violence and rape.
Misogyny and narcism run wild in this nail biting mystery. No harm intended for fervent feminists out there. I don't intend to hurt you by writing about this. I only intend to support your cause by showing that women too are conquerors and that women are strong.

As you can see this is a sequel but you do not need to read the first book. The plot is entirely different even though the characters are the same. Everything is re-explained. Reading the other book just gets you better acquainted with the characters and bond with them better.
