"You like them a lot, don't you Morax?" Her soft voice implied.
"Of course I do, you gave me a lot of them when we went flower picking..." I reply as he lay on the grass field.
"Do you want more? I know a spot where we can find so much more." She looked at me with her dark inquisitive eyes.
I remember her.
Her illuminated hair that somehow shone in the sun...
The smiles she gave me, and her voice that sang her lullaby at night.
"Guizhong, let's get more tomorrow, I need some rest." I yawned and took a breath.
"But we're pretty much immortal! We don't need to rest. C'mon Morax!" She would insist.
Her bright ora always blinded me, and I couldn't help doing anything she wanted.
I just loved her that much.
And her laugh.
Her laugh was the one thing that kept me going, even though things were tough, she laughed with me.
"Morax! Don't slow down! I need to get the flowers for you!" She grabbed my hand forward.
She was always so caring.
I've never once seen her not smile, or cry, unless it was tears of joy.
"Oh my! Look, I found the perfect one for the almighty King Stone!" She placed one flower on my head and grinned.
"I love it," I slowly smiled.
"Wow! You smiled Morax! You should do that more often!" Guizhong put a thumbs up.
"I guess..." I turned to the side, shrugging off the smile.
"Have you seen Venti?" I ask out of curiosity.
Guizhong shook her head.
"♫♪ Soon may the Wellerman come to bring us sugar and tea and rum! ♫♪" Venti's voice echoed across the field.
"Speak of the devil, he's here...shall we go Gui?" I asked that day, grabbing her hands and we approached him.
"♫♪ One day when the tongueing is done, we'll take our leave and go! ♫♪" He swung his fingers across the strings of his instrument.
"Oh, if it isn't my two favourite people! Husband and Wife, Guizhong and Rex Lapis!" He stopped playing and approached us.
Guizhong laughed and I awkwardly let go of her hand.
"You're still looking good and the same God of Freedom," She decided to act formally.
"You too, God of Dust. God of Contracts, you're getting a bit rusty though." He told me.
I immediately started checking my face for wrinkles, but Guizhong took my hands and said he was just joking.
"Oh..." I sigh in relief.
"So what are you guys doing up so late?" Venti asked.
"We went to get Glaze Lillies and then I decorated Morax's hair, doesn't he look great?" Guizhong asked and indicated me.
"Yeah, he sure does! He also looks a lot like a girl!" Venti covered his mouth trying not to laugh.
"Says the one who looks like a fifteen year old girl with plaits in her hair," I shot back and Guizhong laughed, agreeing.
"You two seem very close, there's not one day I haven't seen you together." Venti said.
"There's not one day I haven't seen you at the bar," I replied, rolling my eyes, and Guizhong burst out with laughter again, "True!"
