Chapter 6: Taking Risks

I don't know what I'm going to do after that incident. I can't stop thinking about how the heck did it became possible and who really Taehyun is.

I slapped my cheeks, "Ah! Choi Beomgyu! Wake up!" I yelled at myself.

I'm sitting on my bed the whole time without doing anything until I found myself sleeping because of those thoughts.

When I woke up it's already 6am so I need to prepare for school. I wore my complete uniform dress code and my shoes then leave my room.

Taehyun is not around this time and I don't know what I'm going to react if I see him right now. I ride my bike and started pedaling towards school.

Right, Soobin-hyung.

I don't really know what's happening! The classes started but nothing is going inside my brain. I'm sleepy but couldn't sleep at the same time.

Ahhhhhh I'm tired thinking already.

It's about lunch time already when someone called me in my old phone. It's unregistered number so I don't want to answer it but it keeps on calling me.

"Hello?"

(Hello... Is this... Choi Beomgyu?) It's a voice of a woman.

"Ahh yes it’s me, why?"

(It's me, son... Your mom.)

My fist automatically clenched, "What the heck are you talking about?" I asked while gritting my teeth.

(It's really me Beomgyu... I'm at the hospital right now... Your grandma wanted me to see you...)

"Don't you dare touch anything that connected to grandma in that hospital. Because if you really dare, I'll never forgive you." I warned her. 

(Beomgyu—)

"Stop calling my name... Leave the hospital now. I'm the one who's going to take grandma out in there."

(But—)

"Please. Grandma and I talked about it already. Now, stop calling me because I don't want to hear your voice again."

I ended the call then I felt warm tears escaping from my eyes. I carried all my stuff and run away from the school. I also saw Soobin-hyung and Huening Kai on the hallways but I didn't bothered greeting them first.

I ride my bike and started driving to the hospital while my tears are kept on falling and I'm silently sobbing.

What does she want? What does she really want from me? And how dare she calls me her son when she didn't even acted as my mom.

Is she thinking I'm a joke? Because I'm not fucking kidding here!

I only need another turn till I reached the hospital then I felt the chains of my bicycle snapped that made me fell. I don't have the strength to stand up and I just cried in the street like a lost kid.

A lot of people are looking at me right now but I don't care about it anymore. I started sobbing so loud because I can't hold it anymore then I saw a hand right in my face.

I head up and I was blinded by the sun then I saw Taehyun's face smiling at me. That's the first time I saw him smile at me and his smile suddenly made my heart feel at ease.

"Don't worry... Everything will be fine."

I wiped my tears and held his hand then he helped me stood up. He's still smiling at me, "Stop smiling." I stated and started walking with my bike.

I decided not to go to the hospital anymore and just rest at the park near the hospital. I sat at one of the bench under the tree and lean my head on its trunk.

"Why are you following me?" I asked Taehyun.

"I'm not going to stop following you until I grant your wishes." He answered me then sat beside me with some small spaces.

I nodded, "Ahh, that's why? Then... I'm going to wish now." I said without any energy.

"What is it?"

"Discharge my grandma from the hospital. Pay all the bills and discharge her." Then I looked at him, "Can you do that?" I asked him.

"Are you sure about that?"

I smirked, "I bet you can't..."

"I'm asking if you're sure about it." Taehyun said.

I shook my head, "I don't know either... I don't really know what's happening already."

I washed my face with my hands and closed my eyes. "I told you, everything will be fine. The Deity won't let you suffer for long." I heard from Taehyun.

"If that so, why am I suffering for 18 years already? Is it still too short for him?"

"That's why he sent me to you because that's what you want."

I looked at him, "I'm sure."

"Huh? About?" His face looks so confused.

"About my wish... About my grandma."

"I'm going to ask you one more time—"

"I'm really sure, Taehyun."

"It's done."

My brow raised a bit, "Huh? Are you kidding right now? You didn't even do anything—" I stopped from talking when my phone vibrated and I saw Nurse Han's caller ID.

"Yes Nurse Han! Did something happen to my grandma!?" I asked in panic and concern.

(Ahh no but I have a good news for you, Beomgyu!)

I looked at Taehyun and he's just playing the grass under his shoe, "W-what is it?"

(A charity for elders helped you to pay all the bills. The money is ready to transfer once you signed the papers.)

"R-really? I mean... Are you really sure?"

(Yes I am! This charity helped a lot of elders already! I've been praying to Deity that they will help your grandma and it really happened! Beomgyu, you can now discharge your grandma. You don't need to work overtime...)

I heard a soft sobs from Nurse Han who's with me since grandma was admitted up until now. She knew everything that's happening to us since my grandma is telling her some stories.

"Ahh... Yeah... I will come and sign the papers tomorrow Nurse Han. I still have my classes..."

(Yes yes! Thank you so much for accepting this Beomgyu... I'm going to hang the call now... Study well, okay?)

"Yes..."

After the call ended I looked at Taehyun, "How did you do it?"

"You wished for it and I should do anything for it." He answered me.

"T-thank you... Taehyun..."

"You're welcome. I'm your wish granter."

"After that wish what will happen next?" I asked him.

He snapped his finger then a paper appeared in his palm. It's glowing in a form of old brown paper and he lend it to me.

"Your wish will always have an exchange conditions."
