NICK carried Liana's unconscious body to her room. Kanina pa umiiyak ang kapatid nitong si 'Andre' at nag-aalala sa ate nitong bigla na lang nag-collapse kanina.

"It's all my fault! Ate Elle fetched me from the airport and she's stressed! She's exhausted from her work because I needed my medicine! My food!"

The kid ranted and banged his head against the wall.

So, the kid is Liana's brother. And Liana fetched him from the airport?

Maraming katanungan ang nabuo sa isip ni Nick pero hindi na iyon pinansin ng binata. It is none of his business.

"Andre, come here."

The kid obliged. Tumayo ito sa harapan ni Nick at suminghot-singhot.

Nick could see Liana's resemblance on some of the kid's features. Walang dudang kapatid nga ito ni Liana. He could've mistaken that the kid is Liana's child just because of the color of their eyes.

"Tell me, Andre. Why is she stressed?"

"B—Because..." Andre's lips trembled and curved with sadness. "...she was worried about me. And someone wanted to abduct her and me."

Nick's brows furrowed. "Do you know why?"

Just the sight of Andre crying crushed Nick's heart to pieces. He has a soft spot for kids. Ni hindi niya maatim na makitang may nagugutom na bata. The same reason he participated to Logan's charity that focuses mainly on indigenous families and provides support for children, mostly.

Andre shook his head. "Ate and Yaya Ging didn't tell me why, but I heard from Yaya that kuya Marco wanted her."

"Who is this Marco?" Nick's curiousity arose all of a sudden. So, Liana and her brother are trying to run away from someone?

Are they in danger?

Before Andre could answer his question, Liana groaned and moved under the blanket. Napalingon ang dalawang lalake sa dalaga. Mahimbing pa rin itong natutulog at wala atang balak kumain ng tanghalian.

"Can you please protect my Ate Elle, Sir? I don't want to see her like this."

Andre sniffled and wiped his tears. Nakayuko ito at hinahayaang pumatak ang luha sa wooden floor.

"Andre, don't worry. This island has a state of the art security systems. We have surveillance drones and live CCTV everywhere, courtesy of Trivano Tech. We will keep your sister safe, okay?" Nick is just literally blabbering any words that he can think of just to make Andre feel safe.

Little Andre nodded his head and sat on his sister's side.

Nick has this urge to dig deeper into Liana's story and see if there's anything he could do to help. He badly wanted to help.

But he knows that meddling with other people's businesses will do him no good. He might be targetted, as well, for meddling if ever. Plus the fact that he knows Liana will reject his offer of help.

His phone rang from the pocket of his three-fourths. Nang kuhanin niya sa kanyang bulsa at tingnan ang caller ay kaagad siyang napakunot-noo. It is from the Municipal Hall.

"Sir, may naghahanap po ng missing person dito sa isla. Nagtatanong po kung pwede makita ang list ng mga dumating dito sa isla from two years ago?"

The Municipal Hall holds the responsibility for the Island's security and surveillance. Sadyang ipinapaalam lang sa mga owners ng isla kung maglalabas ng information mula sa database.

"Have you informed the others?" Ang tinutukoy ni Nick ay ang mga kaibigan niyang co-owner din ng isla.

"Yes, Sir, and they granted access. Ikaw na lang po ang hindi pa nakapagbigay."

Then, it hit him. Someone is searching for something in their database? And according to the chief of security, someone is interested to the information of the people who visisted the island from two years ago?

Isn't that the exact same time that Liana came in his restaurant looking for a job?

"Ask them specifically what they're looking for."

The chief of security obliged. Nick overheard the conversation from the phone.

"She's half american. Green eyes. Light-brown hair. 5'6 height," Anang isang baritonong boses na kumakausap sa chief of security.

"Kaano-ano niyo po ang babae?"

"She's my fiancé. My name is Marco Reiling, by the way. I know some of the owners of this island, especially Connor Hidalgo."

Nick's eyes widened as the description of the 'missing person' matched Liana's.

"Wait, let me call Alexander to confirm his request," tugon ni Nick sa chief. He immediately ended the call and dialled Lex's number.

"Yes, Nick?" Mukhang nainis pa si Lex sa biglaan niyang pagtawag.

"Lex? Am I interrupting something?"

Lex groaned from the other line. "You ruined the mood."

"I'm sorry but I really need your help."

Mukhang nahalata naman ni Lex ang urgency sa boses ni Nick kaya sumeryoso ito. "Yes? What can I do? Anything at all, buddy."

"Can you delete someone's records in the island's database? Everything." Nick stood up and frantically walked from here and there.

"I could do that from my laptop. Give me the name."

"Liana Rios."

Moments later, Lex replied. "Yeah, there are records of her here in the database. She is also suspected of using a fake identity and is scheduled to be questioned by the chief of security next month."

"Can you do it?"

Lex giggled from the other line. "I am the one who invented this tight-ass security, Nick. Of course, I can."

"OKAY! Binigay na po ni Sir Nick ang permission niya." The head chief immediately searched the database of the name 'Elysiana Cressida Samonte'. When he pressed the search button, there are no records found.

Marco gritted his teeth. He was sure that Elle went to Isla Anubis. He had someone track her from Manila Airport to the said island last night.

Unfortunately, last night is the island's festival. His goons had trouble searching for Elle all over the island, lalo na't nagsasaya ang lahat ng tao noong gabing iyon sa tabi lamang ng wooden port kung saan ang daungan ng mga bangka.

Marco almost banged his fist on the table, grinding his teeth into powder.

Is it possible that Elle traveled from the island and went back to batangas? To loose his goons?

It is possible. Considering that the island he's into has a state-of-the-art security. Elle's records of going in and out of the island could've been in the database.

Marco's brow quivered when a realization hit him.

It is almost impossible that Elle has no records in the island. He has a source that Elle was seen in batangas attempting to buy a ticket to Isla Anubis two years ago.

He already attempted to search for her in the island's database two years ago but there are no records of her going inside the island, so, Marco crossed out Isla Anubis from the list of Elle's possible hide-out.

Is it possible that Elle's using a fake identity?

Marco slightly banged his fist on the chief's table while staring at the monitor that contains zero information about Elle's whereabouts.

If she's using a fake identity, then, it is almost impossible to find her. It would be like trying to find a single grain from a sack of rice. He hissed between his teeth.
