IT HAS BEEN four days since Nikolai left Isla Anubis with Raizen to go to the big city.

He have to leave her there because she might oppose to his plans, kahit na ipinangako niya sa sarili na sasabihin kay Elle ang lahat ng kanyang plano.

With the help of Raizen, Nick filed a lawsuit against Marco Reiling for the murder of Elle's parents. He aquired enough evidences, thanks to the Black Card that gave him access to the detective that worked with Elle before— the one who knows where are the evidences against Marco Reiling for the murder.

And what Elle said to him before was all true. She burried the evidences in her parents' grave— literally in their grave (The ceramic jar where their ashes are). There's the flash drive burried in the ashes that contains enough evidence to sentence Marco Reiling of double homicide

Nick wanted to praise his wife for hiding the flash drive in her parents' jar. Seriously, nobody would ever think to hide something as a crucial evidence under a dead person's ashes.

And, tomorrow, he will meet this Marco Reiling and let the motherfucker know about the lawsuit before the authorities can. Nick clenched his fists. He needed to punch the motherfucker for the trauma Marco caused to his wife.

His phone rang. Mabilis na tumayo si Nick mula sa pagkakaupo sa gilid ng kama at sinagot ang tawag. It was his ethereal wife, of course.

"H-Hello?"

God, he missed her voice.

"Hi, Elle? Is something wrong?"

"Kailan ka uuwi?" She asked in a low, throaty voice that sounded so seductive.

The corner of his lip rose to form a half-smirk. "You missed me?"

"Konti."

And then, he released a chuckle and scratched his temple with a boyish grin. Damn, he needed to stop acting like a fucking teenager.

He understands why he's acting like that, though. Elle missed him. He feels the same. This is the first time they've been far away from each other for more than three days. Even back then, Elle never took a day-off until the recent events last month kaya lagi silang magkasama. He realized he's not used to being away from her.

Babawi siya sa asawa. But for now, he needed to be both spear and shield to protect her. Hindi sila mabubuhay nang payapa ni Elle kung parating may takot at kaba sa puso nito. He wanted her to enjoy life with him. He wanted to make her happy and create dozens of babies with him without the fear for their safety. He needed to get rid of Marco to accomplish those things.
