When Stella came into this world, God gave her an ass for a life and said "have fun!" Her dad was never really around in the first place, and her mom came in and out of rehab with drug addiction. She lives with her cool-ass grandma - who we all call Miri - in their tiny little house whose gnomes and stellar - get it? - gardening somehow manage to light up the entire street.
I guess that's the thing about Stella. She always sees the bright side - always is the bright side - even in a shitty, dirty, terrible world.
