I'm not giving up

Its been over a month sense Zander has been hurt, I told Teresa to get Jasmine dressed I'm taking her to the hospital with me, she said she's been praying for him. I told her thanks he needs all the prayers he can get, Teresa said she's glad that Mrs. Davenport didn't get out on bail for what she did to Zander, I told her so am I.

She went upstairs, Teresa is good with Jasmine and she's a much better housekeeper than Ms. Gonzales ever was, Pete said and she's a better cook too he's getting fat. I said yeah, he needs to taper off and put the fork down, he said whatever and we both could get back into the gym he went upstairs.  I looked at Bashes picture on the piano, I smiled okay you were right Zander heard me tell him I love him, but I still love you too.

Falisha walked into the living room and said I'm doing it again talking to Bash, about my new man. I told her I'm hoping he will be, Falisha said what if Zander wakes up and doesn't remember me or what happened what does that mean for Mrs. Davenport.

I told her even if he doesn't remember she'll still go down for Marks murder, I hate to say his name. Teresa came down with Jasmine, Falisha said oh I'm taking her with me, I said yes Zander knows she's around and she hugs him when I take her to see him. Oh, and to answer your question about remembering me, he will, she said keep the faith that he will wake up and remember me.

Falisha, you don't mind do you, she said of course not and once Zander wakes up, she'll be in his life, I told her thanks well we better get going and after we leave the hospital, we're going over my mom's house, she said say hello to my folks and horny JR. I took Jasmine and walked outside to the car I put her in her car seat, baby we're going to see Zander he knows your there even if he's asleep.

I got in the car and drove away; I know he's going to wake up because he's holding on and I feel like he heard me telling him I love him. We got to the hospital, and I just let the valet park the car, I took Jasmine out of the car and walked into the hospital and got on the elevator, I pressed the button to the fifth floor. We got to the floor, and I stepped off the elevator the nurses all knew Jasmine and said hi to her, even though children weren't allowed they let me bring here anyway, we went to Zanders room and Mr. Davenport is here reading a book to Zander.

He said his little friend came to visit and he got up and took Jasmine out of my arms, I shook his hand he said let him take Jasmine outside for a while and I can visit with Zander, they left, and I sat down and took his hand.

Man, you really need to wake up you had enough rest, and I know you can hear me and okay I did tell you I love you and I meant it, all I need is for you to wake up. I've spoken to Bash about putting in a good word for you upstairs, and my family is praying for you. And your dad is here every day he loves you so when you wake up give him a chance, he's told me so much about you, and I know about Benny your stuffed bear. I laughed damn dude you had him until you were twelve, talk about holding on to something.

Well just like you let go of Benny its time you let this go and wake up, the doctor came into the room and spoke to me, he checked Zander out, and lifted the blanket from his feet and took what looked like a large needle and rubbed it under Zander's foot and his foot moved. I asked the doctor is that a good sign, he said yes Zander can feel it, he sees no reason why Zander isn't waking up.

He's fighting this, why he doesn't know, Mr. Davenport came back into the room along with Mr. Tate he's carrying Jasmine, I said she has two admirers, and I told them what the doctor said, Mr. Davenport told us maybe its him and Zander doesn't want anything to do with him, and he knows he's here. I told him don't say that I'm sure after all that's happened Zander knows he loves him, he said he's going to leave now, he kissed Zander on the forehead and a tear came down Zanders face. Mr. Davenport, Zander knows you love him don't leave.

I held Zanders hand please son wake up if not for me, do it for Jasper and this pretty little girl they love you and I know what Alexis did to you she's in jail not only for what she did to you but Mark he's gone. Zander squeezed my hand, doctor I think he heard me, he said sure he did and we have to keep talking to him.

I told Jasper I'll stay, this is where I should be by my sons side, my assistant came in to the room and told me I'll be late for my meeting, I told him it can wait I'm staying here with my son I have a feeling he's going to wake up if not today one day soon. And I don't care how long it takes, he said maybe he can get the meeting changed to next week , I told him to do that and he left. Alec said he's going to leave too he just came to see how we were doing, and he knows Zander will wake up he told Jasper he'll call him later, he kissed Jasmine I thanked him for coming and he left.

See Mr. Davenport the tears shows that Zander wants you here, we just sat with him and he read to Zander baby girl took a nap, I just watched Zander he's going to wake up. I'm glad Mr. Davenport didn't give up on Zander because I'm not.

Later  I took Jasmine to see my folks, pops  said I looked tired, let Jasmine stay with them for a few days, and I can get some rest. Mom said she knows I go to the hospital every day, and sit with Zander for hours, get some rest.

I could use some sleep, oh a lot has happened today, Zander had a tear going down his face, and his dad has been with him too. The doctor did say he sees no reason why Zander won't wake up, I feel it's just a matter of time when he does, mom said that's great news she told me I'm looking like I haven't eaten much is Teresa feeding me?

Yes, mom I'm eating JR said from what he can see it doesn't look like I've missed any meals, pops told me to come to the gym with him early in the morning, don't worry I can still go to the hospital to see Zander. I told him Pete and I were just talking about that so sure I'll go, mom said for right now I'm staying for dinner so go wash up and we can eat. JR said we're having fried chicken, I did miss moms cooking, I went upstairs and washed up I know Zanders going to be just fine, I just know it.
