Celeste
The LaDeux's are here. I'm sitting across from Dean. He's wearing a black shirt with black skinny jeans.I think he likes the color black.
Yesterday Colin came over in the middle of the night. He was irritated with me.
*Yesterday Night*
I hear a tapping noise on my window. Please don't be a killer. I don't want to die yet.
I take a peek from my curtains and see that it's just Colin.
A killer would've been better.
I open my window and he crawls in.
"Why the hell are you here?" I whisper harshly.
"We have to talk. I know that you're mad at me and I think that you're being childish."
I scoff.
"I'm not being childish. You couldn't keep another promise. Don't you see the pattern here? It's always you not going through with your word."
"I keep my promises Celeste. I promised that I would love you, didn't I?"
"You did but I'm talking about you daily promises. You promised that you would show up for my recital. You didn't. You promised that you would be here when I was going to introduce you to my parents. You never came. I'm tired so tired of it." I could feel my eyes start to water. I saw this happening the second we met.
"I'm sorry Colin but I can't do this anymore."
He chuckles but with a hint of disbelief.
"You're worthless." with that he leaves through my window.
*End of Flashback*
"Celeste do you mind giving Dean a tour of the house?" my dad asks me.
"It's not his first time being here dad."
"Does not matter. Show him around." glaring at me he states.
I don't even try to answer back and tell Dean to follow me. While walking in silence Dean decides to talk first.
"You don't have to show me around. I don't know why your dad told you to anyway." he says.
"Okay then uh do you want to go sit outside?" I ask him.
We walk outside and sit at the picnic table.
"We have a few classes together don't we?"
"Yeah we do." I answer.
"Do you know why they wanted to talk alone?"
"They're probably secret lovers." I joke.
He chuckles.
"That's a sight I do not want to see."
My father along with Deans father, Mark Ladeux, make their way towards us.
"We have something to tell you both." my dad says.
I have a feeling in my stomach that I won't like what I'll here at all.
"So as you know my business is ricocheting and that his is well not doing well." Mr. Ladeux motions to my father to finish the statement.
"We want you two get married once you finish high school."
I didn't expect that at all. Dean didn't as well considering the reaction he holds on his face.
