Cassie's POV
"So, are you going to stop staring or are you going to speak to him?" Liam asked chuckling. I blushed and rolled my eyes and continued to eat my tacos I ordered. "Shut up, I can't just talk to him. He's the captain of the soccer team" I laughed. "So?" "You're not helping" I sighed. "Sorry, Cas you got this. If he doesn't like you he's stupid."
I nodded and went and joined Louis and zayn on bleachers as they waited for tryouts for the team. "Hey, cass."hey" "Niall, keeps checking you out" Zayn laughed. "Aww, looks like it's making Cassie blush" "shut up you dicks."
They chuckled and started walking down on the field. Niall looked over at me and waved. I looked around because he couldn't be waving at me... he didn't know who I was. He laughed and waved again. I waved back and blushed a little.
"Why are you watching these meat heads?" Harry asked sitting next to me. "two of those meatheads happen to be some of our best friends" "I am not talking about them" "Than who?" "Niall. You like him, I don't understand why. he's a player, you deserve so much better" I rolled my eyes at his overprotective ways and went closer to the boys.

Harry's POV
"I Don't understand" I started. "Understand what?" Liam asked, but I am too busy watching Cassie. "oh, never mind" "What?" I finally asked. "You fancy Cassie" he winked. "Yeah.. I know and it's more like an addiction. I can't stop myself."
"Maybe you should tell her" "Maybe I shouldn't, clearly she's into punk ass jocks" "Harry, lighten up. you can't control her, be happy if she is."
He was right. I can't act like I wasn't happy for her because I would have to be even if it hurts me inside. I'll smile but just for her. It's just I know we belong together, we're so much more compatible. And saying that makes me sound worse than Niall. Selfish and inconsiderate. I wouldn't do that to her or myself and most importantly our friendship.
"Just go talk to Ashely, I think she has a thing for you," Louis says snickering I looked over at her, I caught her smiling at me and she blushed. Her long curly blonde hair hid her facial expression and bright blue eyes. She's cute, but I am not into her. "I don't have a thing for her, and I am not going to lead her on" I nodded.
"HARRY!!!" Cassie yelled running down the hallway almost knocking me over. "Whoa, slow down there" I chuckled. "Sorry, Ni- Niall asked me out." She said out of breath. I started to say something, but I couldn't process it enough to say it all, I smiled and hugged her. Just be happy for her. My stomach was mush by now and I just had to hold my feelings in because if I didn't all my friends would hate me I would hate me. Cassie would hate and never want to speak to me again.
Cassie's POV
"Hey, Niall." I waved. He looked over at me and smiled. God his smile is so beautiful, his eyes I mean don't even get me started. "Hey, Cassie" He knows my name? I looked at Zayn and he was telling me to say something. "Hey.. Again" I chuckled. "I was wondering if you were doing anything tonight?" I thought quickly. "No, I am actually free." "Great! Would you like to go out with me?" "I would love too." "Awesome, I'll pick you up around 8?" I nodded and returned to the soccer field as I went off to find Harry to tell him what had just happened. I ran down the halls passing through groups of people who tried to say Hi so I shouted behind me and in the meantime I almost ran into Harry, but he caught me. "Whoa, slow down there," He said. "Ni-Niall asked me out." I said almost out of breath.
His face had multiple expressions showing. Hurt, mad, confused, and sad. I kind of ignored it and went on how happy I was. "Niall asked you out" He repeated. "Yes, I can't believe it either." I smiled.
"Are you going?" "Yes! are you crazy? He's coming at 8 to pick me up, so I have to get ready. You should go hang out with the guys, and tomorrow we'll have our movie night." I grinned and kissed his cheek and walked into my room. I went straight in and took a shower and since I was rushing it only lasted up to ten minutes. I found my favorite blue sundress and some white heels that made it pop more, I curled my hair and finished my makeup all in time for Niall to pick me up.
There was a small knock on the door, I squealed quietly and ran to the door. "Hi." I grinned. "You look beautiful." He held out his hand and I took it happily and he lead us out to his car parked in front of the school. "So, where are we going?" "You'll see" I started to get nervous after that, although I've liked him forever I knew of his reputation and he's known for some things. He placed his hand on my arm and looked at me. "Look, don't be nervous. You'll like where were going, trust me. I really do like you, so don't let others tell you stuff about me." I nodded. "I know, I'm sorry." "Don't be babe." He called me babe, what am I supposed to do? Calm down. We pulled into an empty field with a gazebo in the middle, strung up with lights and a table set for two in the center. "Niall, you did this just for our date?" "Yes, like I said, I really like you."
I blushed, "I really like you too." He raised an eyebrow and lead me to our table. "Really?" He said a little more excited than either of us expected. His smile became bigger when I said that and even his eyes lit up more. "You really don't have any clue how happy that makes me, that you feel that way about me. I never thought you would like me the way I like you, I know my rep at school isn't the best but, it's not true." "Niall, you don't have to explain yourself to me, I believe you." He blushed a little. We continued our conversation and finished our dinner. Niall was so underestimated, being the captain of the soccer team didn't help and honestly he's really smart. He's caring and he's funny and I am sure he would fit in our group.
