"I'm going out for a swim!" Sally called through the house.

"Be back for supper!" Her mom called back.

Sally closed the front door behind her with her bikini on and her towel in her hand. She also had her blue, water-proof backpack slung over her shoulder. She nodded hello to her neighbours as she ran towards the ocean. It was a warm day and the sun's bright rays lit up Sally's mood. It was a perfect summer day to go for a swim in the ocean.

After running a few blocks, Sally made it to the beach. This spot on the beach was not busy and that's one thing Sally loved about it. Another thing she loved about it was that it was close to the underwater cave she found the other day. She decided that the cave would be her new secret hideout.

Sally set her towel down and secured her backpack. She then dove into the crisp, salty water and swam away from shore using front crawl. Since she had lived around here all her life, she almost couldn't even feel the stinging of the salty water in her eyes. But, when Sally accidentally swallowed the water, it still tasted disgusting. Sally was a very good swimmer and a fast one too. She had great endurance. Sally never entered any competitions though because she swam for the feeling of swimming. It was fun!

Sally found the rock peaking out of the water that was close to the cave. She rested a few seconds and then dove down. Once Sally was about 4 metres down, she saw the cave entrance. She swam through the opening in the rock beneath the water.

As soon as she was through, she broke the surface, head first. Sally gulped a breath of salty air. She then cautiously exited the water and took some candles out of her backpack. She placed the candles throughout the cave. Then Sally took matches from her backpack and lit the candles she brought. She then went back into the pool of water because she was cold.

The cave was quite spacious. There was the small pool of water that Sally was floating in. It was sandy on the ground by the pool. The cave was like the size of a slightly large living room. Sally observed the gorgeous rock walls of the cave. They were rough and a dark, blue-ish grey colour. She saw beautiful crystals throughout the rough rock walls. She thought it was a very beautiful sight.

All of a sudden the small body of water started to bubble.

"What on earth?" Sally said, confused. She saw something shimmery in the water. Sally took a closer look and didn't believe what she saw. She saw a tail covered in shimmery, light blue scales.

"It can't be true." She mumbled. "Impossible!"

I'm probably going to write more in this book. I'm more likely to if I get some positive comments and some votes. Please vote and comment. 😜😝😜
