Baby while we're young, we should just have fun.
We sould just do whatever we want.
And tell everyone that we fell in love with each other
Oh that we found the one in one another.
Telling everybody you're mine and I like it
And I hope you don't mind, I can't fight it.
No, you know I cannot hide it cause I am so excited that I finally decided on you.

- While We're Young x Jhene Aiko

One thing about Denki Kaminari was that he was the life of the party. He brightened up every room he walked in, made friends with almost everyone. He was a smooth talker– one that could sell salt to a slug, dirt to a homeless person, and you were pretty sure he'd talk a nun out of her skirt without even trying.

You were a college senior, and the two of you shared a few classes together. You'd see him with his friends on campus, he'd be doing something dumb to gain a few laughs or he'd crack a joke, do a few impersonations of his friends for shits and giggles. You'd wonder how someone could be so free and unapologetic about who they were. You enjoyed yourself watching him, giggling at the silly things he did ever so often.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" His voice startled you as you popped your earbud out when your head shot up to him. He grinned, his smile almost blinding as he looked down at you with his tray of food. Behind him in the distance were his friends, sitting on a ledge of the stairs not too far from the two of you, pretending to be in their own world and not watching the two of you.

Your heart pounded in your chest, looking him over and wondering why this silly, handsome of a blonde was standing before you on your blanket you'd laid out on the courtyard, under the shady tree. You slowly shook your head, watching that raidian grin widen.

"Do you mind if I take it?" He asked again, motioning to the empty spot in front of you.

Again, you shook your head, blinking up at him. You watched him kick his crocs off, squatting down before sitting down and crossing his legs together on the blanket placing his tray of food in his lap.

"I'm Denki." He says tilting his head at you. "I know we have a few classes together, but I wanted to get to know you. You're always by yourself."

"Y/N." You reply coyly, tucking strands of your hair behind your ear nervously.

It was then that the beautiful blonde took your life by storm. He accepted you for all that you were and somewhere down the line the two of you fell in love. The two of you sat comfortably in your dorm, his head in your lap as he played a game on his Nitendo Switch, cursing after every match he lost while you absentmindedly played in his blonde locks, a book in your hand. He'd caught you off gaurd when he sat up and turned towards you. Your head turned away from the book in your hand as he stared at you blinking.

"What is it?" You asked, quirking an eyebrow at him, wondering what crazy thing he'd propose to you this time. You couldn't lie that Denki brought out the child in you.

"Do you believe in soulmates, Y/N?" He asked.

You blink, unsure of how to answer.

"I.....guess?" You tilt your head, waiting for him to continue. He leans in, pressing his forehead against yours. The smell of those watermelon sour patch kids he'd been devouring strong on his breath.

"I-I think you're my soulmate." He whispers, cupping your cheek in his hand. A light pink hue peppering his cheeks. "I-I love you Y/N."

Now here you were, standing in front of the mirror on your wedding day, anxiety shot through the roof as you stare at your black wedding dress with electric yellow accents. Your hands were sweaty, heart pounding in your chest. You were really about to exchange vows with that unpredictable loud blonde with such an amazing personality. You never understood what he saw in you, what he continues to see in you– and one thing you didn't do was question it.
