Silvia was deep in thought as she cleaned a small teacup that had intricate details of a hydrangea. She was not yet sure what to do about Tanaka Eiichi, the one victim that had escaped her grasp. It was no doubt that he had heard about the murders and either has already gone hiding or was going to when he came back to Japan. That obviously complicated her mission. She had been willing to give up and let him hide, since it would achieve the same goal of him not being able to do bad things anymore especially when his partners in crime had already been executed by her. But no, her father had demanded that also him had to be done in, slayed, murdered, whatever you wanted to call it. "Why does he create such personal vendettas against people he doesn't even know..." she thought in irritation. For her, after all, it did not matter if Tanaka lived or died. But as she had no say in the matter, she had to come up with a careful plan for her to succeed.
Her mind went back to the documents she had stolen from the meeting room right before she escaped. They were detailed information packets about the gang activity in Tokyo and Yakuza's latest movements as well as contact details of lawyers working on the grey area of the law alongside of crooked politicians whose native language was money and bribes. It was a lot of data gathered solely for the purpose of those eight men and their plans to build a business front for tax evasion, money laundering as well as human trafficking for the benefit of those sick in mind and money at hand. They really were the lowest scum of the Earth, she had thought as she had went through the documents. No wonder their assassination was the largest and the most important work task father had given her until now.
Although, while reading the documents full of disgusting information, she had to bow to the ones who were behind creating them as they were so full of precise information laid out gracefully so that even those of the most simplistic of minds could understand. She even got a little jealous as she compared them to the information packets her father mailed to her that usually included numerous random screenshots of websites, scribblings of her father that were hardly readable and useless bits of fun facts about the targets. In the end, she had to be the one doing most of the info gathering and planning, which was fine to her. It was her job after all.
However, it was also how she was able to identify work of another great information gatherer. She was confident that behind the documents was someone on the outside of those eight men as her research had indicated that none of them were as thorough and detailed, one of the reasons why she had been able to off them as easily as she did. No, it had to be someone else. The person or persons behind the documents could pose some problems for her as they now probably had their eyes on the assassin, but she did not think of them as too big of a problem. She was well hidden after all, and it would take a mastermind to figure out her real identity or to catch her.
But it did pose problems for the assassination of Tanaka Eiichi. She had to consider the fact that the information brokers behind the documents would know about all of the eight men included in the plans and so know about how Tanaka Eiichi was supposed to be there. And as they clearly are smart, they probably suspected her to try to go after Tanaka as well. She bemoaned inside her head as she now had to count in multiple aspects in her plans instead of just one. The stress came back, and she felt her body tense up as the anxiety flooded over her.
"...ane-chan."
She had to come up with a plan soon.
"Akane-chan."
She felt a gentle hand pat hers and she snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Are you okay, dear?" Satomi-san's heartfelt words were full of worry as the old lady took the teacup from her hands that were about to squeeze it broken. "You are awfully tense today. Are you sure you don't want to go home early tonight?"
