"Dean, it's only been a few weeks, I'm sure he's fine." Lexi tried her best to convince him, but he wouldn't listen.

"You really should wait until morning, breaking into Sam's apartment is not the way to get him to help you."

"Aww c'mon Sparky, where's your sense of adventure?"

After breaking in and having a tussle with Sam, the light is suddenly switched on and standing there is a gorgeous blonde girl.

"Oooh, she's cute." Lexi whispers

"Dean, Lexi this is my girlfriend Jess."

"Hi" jess smiles

"You know I gotta tell you, you are way out of my brothers league." Dean says to Jess

"Hey Casanova, focus." Lexi chides him

"Anyway, I need to borrow your boyfriend here, talk about some private family business." Dean smiles at Jess

"No, whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of her." Sam wraps an arm around Jess as he speaks.

"Okay, dad hasn't been home for a while." Dean says smirking slightly

"So hes working overtime on a miller time shift, he'll stumble back in sooner or later." Sam says confidently

"Dads on a hunting trip and hasn't been home in a while." Dean says making sure Sam understands what he means, Sam's face changes as he realises what Dean is saying.

"We really kinda need you Chuckles." Lexi adds, Sam gets dressed says bye to Jess and follows Dean and Lexi out to the car.

"We wouldn't have bothered you with this Chuckles, but we really need you." Lexi smiles at Sam as she speaks

"What was he hunting?" Sam asked the pair.

"All right." Dean opens the trunk and starts rummaging, "Hey Sparky where did I put that thing?"

"I dunno. Lexi shouts from the backseat.

"So, when dad left why didn't you go with him?" Sam asks dean

"I was working my own gig, this voodoo thing in New Orleans."

"Dad let you go on a hunting trip by yourself?" Sam asked confused

"I'm twenty-six dude." Dean answered

"So naturally John asked me to go with Casanova, you know to keep him out of trouble." Lexi said from her spot on the back seat.

"Alright, here we go, so dad was checking out this two-lane blacktop just outside of Jericho, California. About a month ago this guy went missing, they found his car but no sign of him, he completely vanished.

the three of them get into the car and head off.

They stop for gas and snacks along the way.

"You want breakfast?" Dean asks holding up a selection of junk food

"No thanks, so how'd you pay for all that, you and dad still running credit card scams?" Sam asks, but Dean doesn't respond.

"Dude you really need to update your cassette tape collection." Sam says rummaging through the array of tapes

"Why?" Dean and Lexi say simultaneously causing them both to laugh.

"For a start they're cassette tapes and they're all Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Metallica, it's the greatest hits of mullet rock." Sam points out

"Hey, don't be dissing the classics, Chuckles." Lexi says as Dean hands her some snacks

"House rules Sammy, driver gets to pick the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole." Dean starts the engine.
