On Earth, there are two types of people. Humans and sorcerers. They've been living in peace for thousands of years. Both sides of the world not really interfering with the other. Humans having their own government system, and alchemists having their own.
The wizards' government was similar to an Oligarchy. There are many branches of powerful sorcerers in the world. Each of them working together to stabilize the world of magic. But one branch had power over all of them.
The L/n bloodline of wizards was known for being the best magic users in the entire world. For generations, they dominated the world of sorcery ever since the beginning of time.
L/n Y/n was the daughter of the L/n bloodline. She would one day take over the title of Diviner that her ancestors have passed on for ages. And she was treated like a dust particle.
Why? Because she was the firstborn female child ever to be born in the L/n lineage. Each generation could only have one child. And for ages, the gender would always be a boy. 100% of the time. Until now...
It was a disgrace knowing that a woman would take over the title of Diviner.
"Y/n. Please come down to the dinner table." Your mom called.
"Yes, mother?"
"We decided that we would let you go to school."
"Really?!" Your eyes lit up. You've been homeschooled all your life by your mom.
"No shouting in the house." Your dad reprimanded. "Yes, you will be attending Kunugigaoka High Magic School. We think it would be better if you learned at the most prestigious academy other than here."
"When do I start?"
"In 2 weeks." Your mother said.
"But you must abide by our rules." Your father said as he gave you a list. "You must keep up your appearance as a boy. You'll be going by the name Haru. You will live in your own dormitory instead than with roommates, which will cause a problem. You will wear the male uniform instead of the female. We will also check on you every month. Is that clear?"
"Yes, father." You nodded.
"You are dismissed."

I hope that was enough to start a prologue. I had to rewrite this so many times because I didn't like it. I decided to go with a minimalistic beginning. To clear things up, Y/n:
-Is a girl (sorry male readers)
-Her dad is very distant; he resents the fact that Y/n was born a girl but he can't abandon her because fate has already decided she will be Diviner.
-Her mom is the nice one in the family; after Y/n's birth, she has not been able to do anything else but follow your dad's orders. Sometimes she can convince him just a little
-Even though Y/n will inherit the title of Diviner, her magic skills are average. She was most likely because she wasn't taken to actual school and her dad wasn't the one who taught her magic
-Characters are aged up, Y/n is 16 and a junior in high school.
This AU is also very much inspired by Little Witch Academia. You will spot some major inspired things in this fic.
